2 In 2 Out

Only three gameweeks left, yes really! I’m not going to review last article, although my selections were pretty good, it’s time to look to the future and cross that fantasy football finish line with as many points as possible. Just quickly though, I managed to hit 72 points this recent gameweek with the average being 42 points, but guess who I had on the bench? Yes, Boaz Myhill who scored 17 points away at Old Trafford so that was very bitter sweet and you all needed to know that for no apparent reason. Nothing is perfect!

Right, let’s get on with these suggestions and WARNING if you are a Spurs fan and have morals, go straight to the OUT section.

IN

Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal, Midfielder, 11.3m)

Alexis Sanchez, one of the best players we have had the privilege to watch this season, he has been absolutely fantastic and with a game against Swansea at home followed by a double gameweek coming up for Arsenal you just have to fancy him to bag some points! With Arsenal being the form team in the Premier League at this present time, you can see Arsenal scoring a good few goals past their next three opponents of; Swansea (H), Man United (A), Sunderland (H). The two home fixtures I really can see Sanchez scoring and assisting in both games and adding to his current league tally of 16 goals and 8 assists. If you put him as your captain and double your points from Alexis Sanchez you are guaranteed to see the green arrows once again!

Santi Cazorla (Arsenal, Midfielder, 8.3m)

It was only in the last article I told you to take Santi Cazorla out because he has “stepped off the gas”, well I’ve changed my mind and you should get him back in, why? Well for the same reasons you should get Sanchez into your team. But, if you are stretched for money then I do believe that Santi Cazorla is the next best option as he is exactly 3m cheaper than Sanchez and for what he can produce regarding goals and assists I do feel this is an absolute bargain. Santi Cazorla has played the full 90 minutes in the last 4 games and I feel that Wenger has found his favourite starting XI and will not be changing it for the upcoming games, meaning that Santi Cazorla will be in the heart of Arsenal’s attacks for the upcoming games and giving you the best chance of scoring as many points as possible.

OUT

Christian Eriksen (Spurs, Midfielder, 8.0m)

Christian Eriksen and his Tottenham team really have slowed down as a collective unit, I think Spurs fans and the team have just accepted it is going to be another season playing Europa League football next year. For the fantasy football manager, this isn’t good! Eriksen has only managed 1 goal and 2 assists in his last 10 games, is that good enough for a 8.0m midfielder? No! With a huge 20.2% of fantasy football managers still keeping faith in Eriksen, I do believe it’s time to let him go and get some guaranteed point scorers in your team for the final stretch of this season.

Saido Berahino (West Brom, Forward, 5.6m)

Berahino has had a brilliant season and has provided the constant threat that West Brom have needed this year. But with him failing to score in 7 league games and counting, It seems that he has slowly fizzled out as the season comes to an end. Although West Brom do have Newcastle (A) next that could be considered an easy game, after this they have to play; Chelsea (H) then Arsenal (A) which will be very difficult games to score points in. Berahino is only a small 5.6m which won’t leave you with much cash in the bank for a replacement, but some replacements I have found around the same price includes; Leonardo Ulloa (Leicester, 5.0m), Jamie Vardy (Leicester, 4.7m) and Danny Ings (Burnley, 5.5m). All three of the players I suggested are deep in the relegation scrap and are in some 50/50 games to come, so if you take Berahino out consider putting one of those players in.

This season has flown by oh-so fast! I keep saying it but it’s VITAL to take advantage of these double gameweeks, in a way it means that you will have more than 11 players playing in the week giving you an advantage over everyone! Hopefully we see some more green arrows and we can brag about these suggestions in the final article of 2 In 2 Out for gameweek 38. Good luck!
