Differentials XI – Gameweek 23

Gameweek 22 was a good one for the Differentials XI, scoring a massive 59 points, and being 7 points above the average! Hopefully this is a change in fortunes for the Differentials XI. Here is how the team performed:

Differentials

So, benching Green was a good call this week as Mignolet managed to keep us a clean sheet. He was joined by both Mertesacker and Cresswell who also kept clean sheets, bringing in 6 points each. Our other defender didn’t manage to keep a clean sheet, but Trippier made up with an assist, making it 23 points from our back 4, which isn’t a bad return at all.

In the middle of the park we saw Oscar smash in 2 goals and score the team a massive 15 points! Meanwhile Johnson, Fer and Barkley managed just 7 points between them…

Finally up top we saw our only mistake this week, being captaining Falcao as he only scored 2 points. Benteke matched this, but Giroud seems to be back in form, grabbing a goal and 8 points for the team in total.

So the changes:

Oscar (OUT) -> Elia (IN)

With Oscar shooting over 5% ownership, we had no choice but to remove the midfielder and bring in Saints new boy, Elia.

Here’s how we line up this week:

Differentials

Starting XI: Mignolet (3.8%), Mertesacker (3.8%), Cresswell (4.6%), Trippier (1.9%), Johnson (3.3%), Barkley (3.7%), Fer (1.7%), Elia (2.0%), Giroud (4.7%), Benteke (0.7%), Falcao (2.4%)

Bench: Green (2.7%), Nasri (1.8%), Alderweireld (1.4%), Rangel (0.6%)

So once again we start with Mignolet in goal, as he and Liverpool are at home to West Ham. Just in front of him, we start an unchanged back three of; Mertesacker, Cresswell and Trippier. Cresswell is obviously facing Liverpool this week, and we do start Mignolet too, but with Alderweireld injured and Rangel’s playing time somewhat limited, we are stuck for choices here.

In the middle of the park we start new boy Elia, with Johnson, Barkley and Fer joining him. There are some good looking fixtures here this week, with our midfielders facing; Burnley, Crystal Palace, Stoke City and Swansea. Hopefully we will see a goal or two from these lads this week.

Finally, up top we start Giroud, Benteke and Falcao. This week we are giving Falcao his last chance to shine, and why not give him the captain’s armband too as he and Manchester United face Leicester City. Hopefully he will want to silence his doubters.
