Differentials XI – Gameweek 38

So with the final week upon us the season draws to a close and although the double gameweek seemed underwhelming for most we managed to score ourselves a MASSIVE 91 points this week, which if our captaincy choice was right could have risen above 100.

Differentials

Owning Sadio Mane, who this week broke the record for the Premier League’s fastest hat-trick was a huge part of our success this week, however some double gameweek performances and automatic substitutions also contributed to the overall total of 91. Herrera came off the bench after scoring Manchester United’s only goal against Arsenal while our defence scored a whopping 40 points overall, almost half the overall score.

So a great week overall and apart from our forward line everyone seemed to play a part. Moving onto the final gameweek of the season we are forced into some transfers through players being injured and for the fact that our side just doesn’t look strong enough at all so we’ve decided to make a large number of transfers to try and find some ‘one week punts’ for this final gameweek.

Here they are:

IN: Kolarov / OUT: Zouma: Despite gaining minutes in recent weeks Zouma has picked up an injury which rules him out of Sunday’s game and with Man City looking to finish the season strongly a game at home to Southampton could provide a clean sheet for us. Kolarov also provides great attacking potential and is on free kicks too, which seem unstoppable of late.

IN: Dyer / OUT Gomez: Last week’s transfer picked up an injury ruling him out of both games and so his removal is necessary. After missing a few chances against City at the weekend Dyer is due a goal and an away trip to a leaky Palace side looks promising.

IN: Gerrard / OUT: Lennon: Facing his parent club on Sunday Aaron Lennon is unable to take part and with Gerrard playing his last ever game for Liverpool he’ll most definitely be looking to finish a wonderful career in the Premier League by getting on the score sheet.

IN: Diouf / OUT: Defoe: With Sunderland’s safety secured it’s unlikely that they’ll trouble champions Chelsea at the Bridge and so out comes Jermaine Defoe in place of Stoke City’s Diouf who does have a tendancy of grabbing a few goals at home, particularly against a very poor Liverpool side, of late.

IN: Vardy / OUT: Ings: Finally we finish with the departure of already relegated Danny Ings, with his sights set on a move away from Turf Moor it’s unlikely that he’ll be making an impact and his replacement is none other than high flyer Jamie Vardy. Fresh from an England call up and without a goal in his last three Vardy will undoubtedly make a difference for Leicester City who will try and finish the season with a win in front of their home crowd.

So after 5 transfers the squad looks ready to triumph again in this final week of the 14/15 season, here is the side:

Differentials

Starting XI: Ospina (3,9%), Vertonghen (1.9%), Schlupp (2.1%), Kolarov (4.0%) Gerrard (3.9%), Dyer (4.6%), Herrera (2.9%), Mane (1.9%), Ozil (4.6%), Diouf (0.6%), Vardy (4.8%).

Subs: Davis (1.6%), Van Persie (2.0%), Lescott (3.7%), Van Aanholt (4.7%).

The side lines up with a 3-5-2 formation with respectable cover on the bench. Hopefully the strike force of Vardy and Diouf can both prove to be profitable point hits while we also look for a Gerrard goal as he retains the captain’s armband for his last ever FPL appearance, a very sad day!

The defence seems fairly solid but without completely reshaping the side it is the best we could do, let’s hope for some clean sheets and solid attacking performances as well. That’s all from me, thank you as always and good luck for the final week – here’s to finishing as high as possible!
