FPL Updates XI – Gameweek 11

Game-week 10 is done and dusted, with FPL Updates scoring above average again, scoring a total of 49 points which isn’t too bad considering we didn’t have either of the high scoring Arsenal players (Sanchez & Chambers)! This score saw us fall out of the top 50,000, which is somewhat frustrating as we are consistently scoring above average. However, consistency is key and it will see us rise back up the ranks for sure!

Here is how the team looked:

So big Tim Krul scored a massive 8 points! Lets hope Tim can keep this up as it really helped the team out this week! Alongside him we had a good show from our defenders, being 18 points from Wisdom, Clyne and van Aanholt. Despite this score for a defence being good, Chambers went and picked that total score up on his own last week!

The midfield last week was again, unusually poor, scoring just 12 points between them. However, we don’t expect this to last and we are sure that they will soon again find their shooting boots.

Finally, up top we only scored 11 points including our captaincy choice of Diego Costa, which didn’t turn out great… Enough said.

So, overall it wasn’t the best week. We were still above average, but were unfortunate enough to fall down the ranks. Game-week 11 see’s us make the one change being:

Sterling (OUT) -> Sanchez (IN)

We couldn’t say no to bringing in the Chilean who is in hot form, compared to Raheem who seems to have lost his way a little and is struggling to hit the big points. Anyway, here’s how the team lines up:

So once again we start with Tim Krul in goal, and after last weeks show of 8 points – why not? Just in-front of him we have; Clyne, Taylor, and Wisdom starting this week. Although Taylor has a tough game, we don’t really have a choice of defenders this week as Moore is somewhat out of favour and van Aanholt unfortunately dislocated his shoulder, but nevertheless we hope to see some good points once again from the lads!

We then start; Di Maria, Sanchez, Sigurdsson and Fabregas in midfield. Sanchez and Sigurdsson are having a face off this week, so lets just hope that there are plenty of goals in this fixture. Also, Fabregas and Chelsea have a tough game against Liverpool, but Di Maria makes this up with a what looks to be a straight forward game for Manchester United against Crystal Palace (but who knows!).

Finally, up top we start the same three again this week being; Pelle, Costa and Welbeck. This week we have passed the captaincy from Costa to Pelle, as we really fancy the Italian to shine against Leicester City!

One thing to note this week is that the team is starting to look like it needs a shake up, so we may look to play the wildcard in the international break… But hey, time will tell. Best of luck everyone!
