FPL Updates XI – Gameweek 22

Gameweek 21 saw FPL Updates score 11 points above the average, but this still saw the team fall down the ranks, now being ranked 15,149 overall. Here is how we scored:

FPL Updates

So Rob Green didn’t manage a clean sheet, but some good news in this position is that Tim Krul is now back so we now have a back up keeper that is playing! In front of him we saw Wisdom keep a clean sheet, whilst Taylor and Hutton just scored the standard 2 points each.

In the middle of the park, we clearly gave the armband to the wrong player, as Eden blanked along with Sigurdsson. However both Silva and Sanchez stepped up to the plate, scoring 7 and a massive 19 points respectively. Hopefully these lads keep bringing in these sorts of points.

Up top we saw two of our strikers find the back of the net, being Charlie Austin and Diego Costa. However Wayne Rooney had a somewhat poor performace against Southampton. Hopefully he can put this behind him as Manchester United face QPR at the weekend.

So down to business, the changes:

Austin (OUT) – > Kane (IN)

Moore (OUT) -> Jones (IN)

Here we are mainly thinking of the short term as we still have our wildcard to play in the next few weeks. Therefore with Moore not playing and two free transfers, we upgraded him to Jones who faces QPR, Leicester City and West Ham in the next three fixtures, which surely means one clean sheet in there! Kane was the other transfer and with the form he is in, need we say any more?

Here is how we line up:

FPL Updates

This week we start Tim Krul in goal as we can see Manchester United putting the loss to Southampton behind them and scoring a few against QPR. In defence we start the new boy – Jones. Alongside him we start Wisdom and Hutton. All of our defenders have tough fixtures this weekend, which was some of the motive behind bringing in Jones, so lets hope for some surprises!

In the middle of the park we are unchanged, starting; Silva, Sanchez, Sigurdsson and Hazard. Hopefully these lads can keep up their good form.

Finally up top we start our second transfer of the week, being Harry Kane and we have also given him the armband as we fancy him grabbing a goal at home against Sunderland. Alongside him we start the usual suspects being Costa and Rooney.
