Game-week 6 Review

Game-week 6 has come and gone. We were treated to 2 big derby games and 8 games on the Saturday. Now that the game-week is over, let’s take a look at who made the Dream Team XI:

GW6DreamTeam

Goalkeeper

Asmir Begovic makes his first appearance in the 2014/2015 Dream Team after he managed to keep Newcastle out in the Monday night fixture. Despite only clocking up a single save during the match against Newcastle, he claims his Dream Team place with a clean sheet and a bonus point, earning him a total of 7 points.

Defenders

Craig Dawson is the first defender in this week’s team, after he picked up a massive 13 points thanks to a goal and helping West Brom to a clean sheet in their 4-0 hammering of Burnley. Craig also managed 5 successful interceptions and completed 49 out of his attempted 60 passes. The shift he put in warranted an extra point as bonus for Craig.

Crystal Palace’s Scott Dann made it into this week’s Dream Team after the defender managed a total of 12 points. The Englishman managed an assist and a clean sheet in Palace’s 2-0 win over new boys Leicester City, as well as bagging the 3 elusive bonus points.

Chelsea’s defender Cesar Azpilicueta (Dave) makes an appearance in this week’s Dream Team XI after he picked up an assist, coupled with a clean sheet and 2 bonus points, earning him a total of 11 points. The Spaniard managed 5 interceptions, and also completed 65 out of his 69 attempted passes.

Phil Jagielka is next in the ranks, after he scored an absolute stunner of an equalising goal against Liverpool, also getting him 2 bonus points. The Englishman completed a massive 55 out of his 56 passes, creating one chance, and collected 10 points in total.

Santiago Vergini completes the 5 man defence after he bagged a clean sheet in Sunderland’s 0-0 draw against Swansea. Despite a huge chunk of his pass completion rate being back-passes to Mannone (16 passes in all), it helped him towards the massive 3 bonus points, after he also completed all but one of his tackles and take-ons.

Midfielders

Graham Dorrans is the second of three West Brom players in this week’s Dream Team after racking up a total of 16 points. The play-maker managed to score a goal and assist two others in their 4-0 win over Burnley. The Scotsman completed 71 out of his 74 attempted passes and completed all 3 of his take-on attempts. This also gave him the all important 3 bonus points.

Chelsea’s Willian Borges Da Silva makes an appearance in this week’s Dream Team XI after picking up 14 points. He managed to score and assist a goal as he seemed to be at the heart of everything against Aston Villa, as well as managing to create 3 chances to help him towards the 3 bonus points.

Crystal Palace’s Mile Jedinak makes probably his first ever appearance in the Dream Team XI after scoring another goal, and collecting 2 bonus points. Mile has now bagged himself 2 goals in 2 games, after 2 attempts and a total of 7 interceptions against Leicester City.
