Gameweek 14 – Captaincy Analysis

Gameweek 14 is already upon us with just 2 days between gameweek 13 and 14, making the Captaincy Analysis all the more important! Firstly, lets take a look at how last week’s picks did:

1. Diego Costa – 1 point

2. Alexis Sanchez – 3 points

Gamble – Wayne Rooney – 8 points

Differential – Romelu Lukaku – 2 points

So, without any break here are this week’s selections:

1. Sergio Aguero (SUN)

Despite Mike Jones’ best efforts, Aguero played magnificently for City on Sunday. He got two assists, and was really unlucky not to get on the score sheet. He’s in fantastic form currently, and is one of the world’s best strikers at the moment. No one can get in his way, and with a game against Sunderland on Wednesday we can see him grabbing another goal or two here!

2. Wayne Rooney (STK)

He bagged a goal on Saturday, and is in very good form for club and country. Rooney and Manchester United play an out of form Stoke, who even conceded a goal from Glen Johnson! Rooney, should surely score against them.

Differential – Alexis Sanchez (SOU)

Alexis is currently carrying Arsenal. Although he didn’t score or assist last week, he was easily one of the more influential players on the field. This form is crucial for Arsenal, and will be vital if they are to take anything from Southampton this week. If they do manage to, it will be likely that this man will have something to do with it.

Gamble – Gylfi Sigurdsson (QPR)

Gylfi is a fantastic player, and is also a bonus points magnet, sitting on the fourth highest amount of Fantasy Premier League bonus points. The Icelandic playmaker is assisting for fun, and is currently one of the most influential players for Swansea. They need him, and he is arguably one of the most in-form midfielders currently in the Premier League. With a game against QPR we could see him going to town here.
