Gameweek 26 Captaincy Analysis

Welcome all, we hope you’re all doing well! There was a short fantasy football break this week for the FA Cup and the Champions League, but before we look at who we should captain in the upcoming gameweek, here is how last week’s picks did:

1. Alexis Sanchez – 2 points

2. Angel Di Maria – 7 points

3. Sergio Aguero – 11 points

Gamble – Harry Kane – 11 points

Differential – Saido Mane – 2 points

So down to the business:

1. Diego Costa (BUR)

Costa has had a three week rest, so should be raring to go on Saturday! Chelsea host 19th placed Burnley, who have conceded the most amount of goals this season. Costa scored in the reverse fixture, so can he do it again?

2. Alexis Sanchez (CRY)

Although he took a knock in GW25, he has confirmed that he will play on Saturday. He played striker last week, so could he play their next week? Even if he does play in midfield, he is still highly likely to score/assist, as his record proves!

3. Harry Kane (WHU)

Kane is in fantastic form right now! He just seems like he can’t stop scoring, and I don’t think it’ll stop this week neither, as Spurs play West Ham, who just conceded four to West Brom! Kane is fixture-proof, and if think he’ll bag one or two against the Hammers!

Gamble – Raheem Sterling (SOU)

This is a massive gamble for a few reasons. He’s a risk to feature in the game, as he has got a foot injury, they play Southampton, away, which is a hard fixture. However, Liverpool have got Sturridge back, and Coutinho is in good form, so if Sterling does play against Southampton, he could have a fantastic game!

Differential – Yaya Toure (NEW)

Yaya is such an influential player for City, as the stats prove. With him back in the lineup this week, could he have a positive effect for City? I think he will, and I think he could bag a goal this week! Not many will captain Yaya this week, so if he does do well, you will rise highly in the rankings!

Hope you all have a good week.
