Gameweek 30 Preview

There are now only 9 weeks of Premier League action left this season. Here is our preview of gameweek 30:

City vs. WBA

Manchester City v West Brom

In the weekend’s early kick-off, we will see if the reigning champions can bounce back from their shocking defeat at Turf Moor at home to West Brom. Although an easy fixture on paper, West Brom do not concede a lot of goals under Tony Pulis.

STAR MAN – David SILVA

A player that City looks towards for a moment of magic, Silva has been in good form in 2015 and we hope this continues here.

AVLSWA

Aston Villa v Swansea

Tim Sherwood is starting to come good at his new club, with an emphatic victory in his previous league encounter, whilst Swansea’s season is beginning to drag out after an impressive start earlier on.

STAR MAN – Christian BENTEKE

The Belgian beast was on fire at the Stadium of Light and will look to carry on with this goal scoring habit.

NEWARS

Newcastle v Arsenal

The home side have relatively nothing to play for, so the fixture perhaps will not be too particularly glamourous. On the other hand, the Gunners will look to bounce back from Champions League disappointment and secure qualification for next year.

STAR MAN – Olivier GIROUD

This underrated striker just cannot stop scoring at the moment, whether his club win or lose, so we’ll look to him for the goals.

SOUBUR

Southampton v Burnley

The Saints need to pick up maximum points if they are to mount a serious challenge on the top four places. However, Burnley won the reverse fixture and have just beaten Manchester City so we may have an unpredictable encounter on our hands.

STAR MAN – Dusan TADIC

We will look to one of the signings of the season to be at his assisting best at St Mary’s for this league game.

TOTLEI

Tottenham v Leicester City

Tottenham’s impressive start to 2015 has all but faded away and after getting thrashed by Manchester United, they’ll be looking to set things straight. The opposite could be said for Leicester though who need to up their game if they are to live to fight another season.

STAR MAN – Hugo LLORIS

An outstanding shot-stopper, Lloris has been one of Spurs’ players of the season and should not be too troubled by the Foxes frontline.

STKCRY

Stoke City v Crystal Palace

Both sides are pretty much safe but would love to solidify their positions in the table with another three points to add to their tallies respectively. Hughes has done a wonderful job getting Stoke into eighth, whilst Pardew has flourished at Selhurst Park.

STAR MAN – Yannick BOLASIE

Man of the match in the last league game, Bolasie’s trickery and pace got him two assists last time out.

WHUSUN

West Ham v Sunderland

The Hammers are bottom of the form table at the moment with no win in the league since January, but in a weird way their opponents are actually in a much worse position as their manager has just departed.

STAR MAN – Carl JENKINSON

After missing the last game due to playing against his parent club, Jenkinson should have great joy down the flanks.

LIVMUN

Liverpool v Manchester United

I would personally see this as the game of the season so far. It has massive implications on the two biggest clubs in English football and it is unlikely that both will be able to achieve Champions League football next season.

STAR MAN – Jordan HENDERSON

He has scored a goal in each of his last three games, so Henderson will look to put in a great shift in this key tie.

HULCHE

Hull City v Chelsea

The Tigers have quietly got themselves out of trouble and probably deserve the plaudits for it, resulting in Steve Bruce putting pen to paper on a new deal. Unfortunately for them though, Chelsea will most probably have too much for them.

STAR MAN – Branislav IVANOVIC

By far one of the best right-backs in the world, Ivanovic put in one of the balls of the season to setup his team-mate Costa against Southampton.

QPREVE

QPR v Everton

Things are suddenly looking up for Everton, but Queens Park Rangers need to turn things around swiftly otherwise it looks like they will be relegated at the first time of asking once again come April and May.

STAR MAN – John STONES

The fantastic young Englishman is a great talent at the back and should not have his clean sheet affected here.
