Shithouse XI – Gameweek 11

Game-week 10 proved to be a big point weekend and if you weren’t hitting above the average, you were sure to be dropping down the ranks. The shithousers did exactly as I set them out to do with an absolutely spectacular performance…

GW10Result

This lot accumulated just 19 points in total, with 11 coming from one player. They finished just 48,000 above final place in game-week 11 and are now placed 1,100 in the @fpl_updates league. In addition to this, 3 players including our captain tallied up to -5 points! What a week it has been…

Goalkeeper:

Green – Rob tallied up a total of 6 saves in the game against Chelsea, helping him to 3 points despite conceding 2 goals. Good job we played Rob as Krul on our bench managed a clean sheet in the early Saturday kick-off against Liverpool!

Defenders:

Davies – Curtis conceded one goal against Southampton and with regards to fantasy football, he did nothing more than complete the 90 minutes. This means he finishes the game-week on 2 points.

Brown – Wes yet again had another shocker as he helped Crystal Palace break Sunderland’s clean sheet. Due to playing 54 minutes and scoring an own goal early on in the second half, Wes actually finishes the game-week on -1. Absolutely fantastic performance Wes, your place in the shithouse XI is concrete!

Smalling – Chris had a game to forget in the Manchester derby against City after he received 2 bookings before half-time and was given his marching orders. Due to the early sending off, Smalling finished the game-week on -2. Again, great performance from a great shithouse player.

Midfielders:

Cattermole – Lee played the full 90 minutes against Palace but due to his booking, he is now suspended until 22nd November. Due to his booking, he adds a single point to the game-week 10 points tally. Well done Lee, keep it up son!

Cleverley – Villa were unable to take any points in their home game against Spurs and Tom did nothing fantasy football wise after he finishes the week with just 2 points for playing. Tom is proving to be a great inclusion in the shithouse XI!

Wanyama – Victor scored the only goal early on in the game against Hull from 40 yards which ultimately proved to be the difference. Wanyama has now scored 3 goals this season after previously scoring none in the Premier League. He adds a massive 11 points to the 19 point tally for this week. We are hoping this form won’t continue and therefore he is keeping his place for now in the shithouse XI.

Jedinak – What a week to captain the Australian. Mile took the long walk to the dressing room after he was sent off in the MNF fixture against Sunderland. Due to his sending off, he finishes the game-week on -2 points. This somewhat makes up for his random goals he has been scoring the last few weeks from the penalty spot!

N’Zonzi – Steven was brought in as he is your standard 2 points a game kind of man. He didn’t fail to deliver after returning the expected 2 points thanks to a draw against West Ham.

Strikers:

Nugent – David played 67 minutes in the 1-0 loss to West Brom before being replaced. He was unable to make an impact and therefore finishes the game-week with just the 2 points to show for it. David is another one doing us proud and we hope this continues.

Jutkiewicz – Lukas started on the bench in game-week 10 against Arsenal but was introduced for 22 minutes. He also failed to do anything and therefore just has a single point to his name.

GAME-WEEK 11

Due to the suspensions in place, a substitution is required as 3 players are ruled out. Therefore I have replaced an out of favour player with a regularly played one.

PLAYER OUT

Williamson – Mike seems to be out of favour as well as picking up slight injuries from week to week meaning he isn’t getting any game time. In order to ensure we have a fully playing squad, we need to remove any players that are at huge risk of rotation. Therefore, Mike has received the chop this week.

PLAYER IN

Ward – As much as I like Joel, his stats are not that impressive this season. He has scored more than 1 point just twice this season, despite playing the full 90 minutes in all 10 game-weeks. Lets see how his inclusion goes and what performances he produces now that he is in the shithouse XI!

This week, we have given the captain’s armband to Lukas as he has a home game against Hull. Burnley know they need to start scoring goals if they are to get anywhere and Lukas will be looking to step up and provide the solution they have been looking for.
