Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 34 FPL Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Welcome to our captaincy analysis for the upcoming gameweek 34. Most managers captained Lukaku and after his blank I’m sure you will be looking for better returns from your captain this week! Again it’s a double gameweek which sees 10 teams play twice. First, lets take a look at last week’s picks:

1. Romelu Lukaku – 4 points

2. Sergio Aguero – 9 points

3. Jamie Vardy – 13 points

Differential – Yohan Cabaye – 6 points

Gamble – Harry Kane – 2 points

So without further ado let’s examine some of the key options for your captaincy this week.

1. Alexis Sanchez (CRY & WBA)

The Arsenal man will most likely be the most captained player this week and with good reason. The Chilean has some form of late so he is well worth considering. Another big plus is the fixtures which Arsenal have this week. A home game against Crystal Palace is one which Arsenal are likely to do well in. The Eagles have only won once this year so are unlikely to leave the Emirates with all 3 points. Next Thursday Arsenal, host West Brom who are a solid outfit but should be no match for Arsenal’s attacking power. Due to there decent fixtures it would be sensible to have an Arsenal stacker in your side and because Sanchez has scored 27 points in his last 3 games, he is the best bet for your armband.

2. Dimitri Payet (LEI & WAT)

The West Ham man has been showing the form from earlier in the season and is a fixture in most teams. West Ham still have a chance of qualifying for the Champions League so they will be up for their 2 games in this gameweek. First up is a trip to the likely champions Leicester City which is undoubtedly a tough fixture but the Hammers look like scoring in every game the play so Payet could gain some points. In the week, West Ham host a Watford side struggling for form recently. Premier league survival has long been secured so it is understandable that performance levels will drop. Payet is the key player for West Ham so he is likely to feature heavily this week. An interesting pick.

3. Sergio Aguero (CHE & NEW)

The City player is in decent form at the moment and with his goal last week, his tally rose to 18 for the season. Manchester City will be on a high after their win over PSG in the Champions league so they are likely to perform well. Pellegrini’s side have decent games this week; Chelsea’s season is beginning to wind down and Newcastle’s defence is about as useful as a chocolate teapot so there are undoubtedly goals for City’s forwards this week. The return of Kevin De Bruyne has helped City so Aguero is now receiving better service. A strong captaincy option.

Differential – Anthony Martial (AVL & CRY)

Maybe you’re looking to climb your mini league or reach a rank milestone in the final few gameweeks so one of our earlier options isn’t right for you. Martial may be the answer, decent form but crucially faces 2 fixtures against teams who are weak defensively. Firstly Aston Villa travel to Old Trafford and their defence is absolutely appalling. It wouldn’t raise eyebrows if United put 5 or 6 past (the almost certainly relegated) Aston Villa. Next they travel to south London to face Crystal Palace who have improved in their last few games but still look vulnerable defensively. Fresh from booking their place in the FA Cup semi final the Red Devils will be on a high and there are certainly goals in there upcoming fixtures. The only main concern for managers will be the return of Wayne Rooney which could effect the Frenchman’s playing time. A solid differential.

Gamble – Romelu Lukaku (SOU & LIV)

Many of you will not be able to stomach seeing his name after his dismal show last week but hear me out. The Belgian loves a goal in the big games and as far as Everton are concerned, a Merseyside derby certainly fits the bill. Lukaku will be keen to add to his league tally before Everton’s all important Wembley outing next weekend. A big risk due to his 2 difficult fixtures but he has lots of goals this season so should be considered.

Thanks for reading and good luck with gameweek 34!
