Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 36 FPL Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Gameweek 36 see’s a full set of FPL fixtures, unlike last week’s cut down version. With the season coming to an end the captaincy picks are becoming even more crucial, so without further ado, here is our Fantasy Premier League captaincy analysis for the upcoming gameweek 36.

Firstly, lets take a quick look back on how last week’s picks did:

1. Alexis Sanchez – 3 points

2. Harry Kane – 2 points

3. Sergio Aguero – 5 points

Differential – Graziano Pelle – 0 points

Gamble – Riyad Mahrez – 9 points

So a bit of a mixed bunch and a few poor returns. Now onto this week’s selections:

1. Alexis Sanchez (NOR)

Although the in-form midfielder blanked last week in a particularly boring game, I do feel that he was really unlucky to not get at least 6 points from the game. If Giroud wasn’t bad, and Iwobi played better, he could have easily gotten 2 assists from the game. I have a feeling ‘Dat Guy Welbz’ might start against Norwich, which would give Alexis an improved chance of returning some good points.

2. Daniel Sturridge (SWA)

Ever since Sturridge came back from injury, he has been class for Liverpool. He’s in decent form, and now he’s back to normal fitness, he should be starting on Saturday against a poor Swansea side who conceded 4 last week. Could be a major points haul if Sturridge plays like he has done in the last few weeks.

3. Sergio Aguero (SOU)

Although he scored against Stoke, he didn’t play too well, which is why he is so low on the article. We all know Aguero by know, one week he can perform poorly, the next he could score 3 easily. They play Southampton, who conceded 2 to Villa. Aston Villa. If Villa can score 2, then Aguero should have no problem this week.

Differential – Dimitri Payet (WBA)

Going to be honest, he’s performed really poorly in terms of FPL these last few weeks. He won’t be a popular captaincy choice due to his current form, however they play West Brom who could easily have conceded more than one last week. Payet could perform fantastically, like the reverse fixture, but it could go wrong. I’d only recommend Payet if you desperately need to catch up rivals in mini leagues!

Gamble – Romelu Lukaku (BOU)

Gamble because I’m not sure Everton will have a manager when they play. With nothing to motivate him, I can’t say I’d be surprised if he plays badly. He’s been shocking recently, missing about 7 clear cut chances in the FA cup, and if Martinez is still there, Lukaku looks on a mission to destroy him. Avoid him I’d say! Massive, massive risk captaining him.
