Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 4 FPL Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

So, another fantasy premier league gameweek has gone by. The season is starting to fly by as before we know it we are one week away from the first International break of the season! Captaincy picks seem to be crucial at the moment, as the gaps between teams in those FPL private leagues are small, so a good captaincy pick can be the difference between green and red arrows. That being said, here is how last week’s picks did:

1. Sergio Aguero – 2 points

2. Eden Hazard – 5 points

3. Dimitri Payet – 2 points

Differential – Andre Ayew – 1 points

Gamble – Wayne Rooney – 2 points

So a bit of a mixed bag, but onwards and upwards. Here are the picks for this coming week:

1. Sergio Aguero (WAT)

Manchester City have started the new season in brilliant form, currently having a 100% record, with 3 wins out of 3. This week City host Premier League new boys, Watford, which could result in Sergio Aguero having a field day. Every time the Argentine has played this season he has looked hungry for goals and if it weren’t for two superb keepers in Howard and Begovic, he could have already been in double figures!

2. Diego Costa (CRY)

Chelsea have finally started to show some of their attacking prowese, granted they aren’t as solid in defence, but the arrival of Pedro seems to have given the team a new lease of life. This can only benefit one man, Diego Costa, and with a fixture against Crystal Palace this week, the striker could benefit from a goal or two here.

3. Riyad Mahrez (BOU)

This season’s Sigurdsson seems to be this man, Riyad Mahrez, with 4 goals in his first 3 games of the season, a tally which sees him sitting on a tall 35 points so far. Therefore with Leicester City playing Bournemouth this week he must be a thought of for that captaincy selection. If Leicester City continue the good form they have been showing then Bournemouth could be in for a tough game and with Mahrez in the form he is, he could be in and amongst the points.

Differential – Xherdan Shaqiri (WBA)

Stoke City’s super summer signing of Shaqiri was introduced last week and he seems to have adapted to Premier League life rather quick after he picked up an assist against Norwich at the weekend. The former Inter Milan player will look to continue this quick adaptation to the league with a fixture against West Brom. He should definitely be on your fantasy football radar and could be a cracking differential this week.

Gamble – Christian Benteke (WHU)

Our gamble this week is Christian Benteke and although this may not seem a gamble, it can be seen as one as West Ham have shown some good form this season. West Ham showed this form in the opening day of the season as they came away from the Emirates with all 3 points and they will be looking to do the same this week at Anfield. Benteke and co could be up against it this week, but if they step up to the challenge then we could see some nice fantasy football points!
