Updates

To kick things off we have banked with Southampton and Manchester City clean sheets this week. Stekelenburg is between the sticks for us, with Bertrand in defence. His two Manchester City partners are Kolarov and Sagna, who have been picking up some good attacking points of late, so hopefully this continues.

In the middle of the park we have some of the usual suspects in Mahrez, Payet and De Bruyne, but we have also taken a gamble on Johnson, who looked extremely good in the derby last week. Mahrez did come on in midweek and found the back of the net which does give us some hope for big points this weekend as he and Leicester face Stoke. Likewise, De Bruyne played in the Capital One cup and was very lively, scoring 2 and assisting another.

Finally, up top we start a front three of Vardy, Pelle and Mitrovic. Hopefully Vardy can keep his fine goal scoring form going whilst the other two lads face Bournemouth and Stoke respectively…

Now onto FPL Avids and his team:

Avids

Some tasty fixtures this week in the Premier League, perfect for weekly fantasy football. The fixtures that stand out seen to be Everton at home to Sunderland, Spurs at home to a managerless Villa, Southampton at home to freely conceding Bournemouth while Man City face a Norwich side who are seemingly shite.

Thus meaning I’ve loaded up on players from those teams. From Spurs I’ve gone for Walker and Dembele. I’m hoping for a clean sheet and some differential points from the Belgian midfielder. I’ve also gone with another Belgian midfielder in the form of KDB. The man’s a machine, need I say more? From Everton I’ve gone for Oviedo who might get a run in the team, Barkley and Lukaku. I’ve gone for three Everton players due to the simple fact Sunderland can’t keep a clean sheet against a decent side. No, Newcastle doesn’t count. I’ve also gone for two West Ham players who will be high flying after their victory against Chelsea. Moses will come back in after being ineligible to face his parent club last weekend and will surely aim to prove a point. While I’ve plumped for Jenkinson as Watford don’t exactly rain goals.

Completing my team are somewhat budget picks. Schmeichel in the net away to West Brom and Morrison at home to Leicester. I’m really trying to cover all bases here and if one doesn’t perform hopefully that’ll mean that their counterpart does!

Note: Both teams are subject to change. May the best FPL manager win!
