Updates

Once again we have filled our back 4 with 2 teams. This week we have banked on Liverpool and Bournemouth clean sheets. In goal we see Mignolet and Lovren face up against Norwich, which could turn into a tasty affair. Alongside Lovren we see the two Bournemouth boys; Elphick and Cook, who face Sunderland this week.

In the middle of the park we have some players that could score some big points this week. To kick things off we have Mahrez, who seems to love a double point haul this season. Same again please Riyad! Alongside him we have our only Manchester City coverage in Silva, as he and City face West Ham. Finally we have Ayew and Chadli in the middle, who face Everton and Crystal Palace respectivel. Lets hope for some goals!

Finally, up top we start; Benteke, Wilson and Vardy. All three have shown some good promise so far this season. With Wilson facing off against Sunderland this week we have also passed him the captain’s armband!

Now onto FPL Avids‘ squad:

Avids

So after only cashing in on 1 out of the 5 gameweeks in Daily Fantasy Football I’m looking to drastically improve my form. In aiming to do so I’ve changed my tactics up a little bit. Instead of going with the 4-4-2 formation (thus relying heavily on clean sheets), I’ve changed to go for the 3-4-3. The most popular formation in FPL hopefully will serve me well!

In goal I’ve gone for the uber impressive Jack Butland. Despite the youngster’s side struggling for results Jack pulls off a tremendous amount of saves so even if he doesn’t keep a clean sheet I’m bound to pick up at least 3 points for his services. In front of Jack, I’ve gone for double Bournemouth defence. Strange? Yes. I just fancy them to keep their first Premier League clean sheet, so in come Cook and Francis. Completing my defence I’ve gone for Watford’s Cathcart. Away to Newcastle I fancy them to get a result.

My differential midfield consists of Brazilians Coutinho and Oscar. Often compared with each other I reckon they’ll perform well this week. Oscar looks to be on Chelsea penalties as well which is worth knowing given past results in games against Arsenal…(6-0). Coutinho on the other hand has been himself: playing well but not doing much. 1 goal in 4 appearances isn’t exactly startling form but against Norwich he has a decent chance of turning it on. My 2 more budget options lie in Grealish and Ritchie. Ritchie is bound to start contributing sooner rather than later, or possibly his 32 goal contribution last season was a mere fluke!? Grealish is a player I rate, and with West Brom seemingly struggling to do what they do best – keep a clean sheet – he’s worth a punt.

Up top I’m keeping faith in Aguero. The little Argentine has been the bain of my life recently as I have captained Mr. Flop in FPL without one single return so hopefully this week will be different! Hopefully… Benteke earns a place in my team after his acrobatic goal scored at Old Trafford, while Deeney completes my team as he’s a cheap option and Newcastle are plain shit, right?

Note: Both teams are subject to change. May the best FPL Manager win!
