So, that whole “teams are subject to change” line from last week, came back to haunt me. I took some risks with players like Aaron Lennon last week, then changed my team last minute. Safe to say I’m not happy with the amount of big scorers I didn’t have and of course, the people I brought in blanked and the people I took out scored points, probably losing around 20 points in total.

But let’s not dwell on the past and lets win some more money. This week we are starting with the in-form keeper in the league, Fraser Forster. Southampton’s clean sheets have sky rocketed thanks to the return of Forster. Joining him in defence are Charlie Daniels, Scott Dann and Angelo Ogbonna, all have a chance of scoring and all could possibly get clean sheets.

My midfield consists of Ross Barkley, Riyad Mahrez, Christian Eriksen and Dimitri Payet, all big hitters who can score me some big points going into the gameweek. Barkley is coming up against a West Brom defence that hasn’t been as solid this season. Mahrez proved against Man City you can’t count him out so he is in. Tottenham have been on form and I’m betting on them compiling Man City’s misery, and Dimitri Payet is inches away from scoring having hit the post numerous times over the past few matches.

And finally my front three. No Aguero, No Kane…………….are you mad JNO? Man United versus Sunderland and Chelsea versus Newcastle is too good to ignore so I’m taking Rooney and Costa although the former could be swapped for Martial if I make any changes and that would leave me some money hopefully for someone other than Eriksen in case I have a change of heart about City vs. Spurs. Finally, my differential this week is Afobe for Bournemouth. Stoke have looked poor recently and I’m hoping Bournemouth and their new, hungry, young striker can make them pay.

Now onto FPL Avids and his team:

Gameweek 26 is a strange one, a lot of the top teams are playing each other which could result in a either entertaining high scoring games or lower scoring tight encounters.

There are a few games that stand out:

Chelsea v Newcastle – Newcastle can’t really keep a clean sheet and Chelsea are still unbeaten under Hiddink. I can only see one result here. Costa has looked a different man under Hiddink averaging a goal a game recently. Azpilicueta and Cahill get a spot as I see a 2/3-0 result coming.

Everton v West Brom – Everton have had back to back 3-0 wins, something Baines owners (like myself) will be raging about. 2 cleans sheets and 3 penalties to boot but for some reason Martinez favours Oviedo so him and Robles get a spot in my team. Bargain basement as well at 5.0m! Lukaku gets a place in my team as West Brom will be knackered off the back of 120 mins on Wednesday night.

Sunderland v Man United – Even though on paper it should be an easy enough fixture I don’t really trust United. Another basement buy Jesse Lingard‘s in my team. He simply can’t be dropped after his goal v Chelsea.

Aston Villa v Liverpool – Despite getting beat against West Ham midweek, Coutinho looked bright and showed a touch of class with his goal. Not to mention he only played 60 mins so should be fresh. Fellow Brazilian (Firmino) got a night off so should be looking to follow on from his goal and assist v Sunderland.

Completing my team is Mahrez and Antonio. Mahrez can explode in any game as he showed v City, while Antonio is outperforming Payet at the moment and he is away to a freely conceding side in Norwich.

Note: Both teams are subject to change. May the best FPL manager win!
