Gameweek 24 Review – Fantasy Premier League Tips

This week we had a mid-week set of fixtures, which saw the return of the Fantasy Premier League! Gameweek 24 was spread across the Tuesday and Wednesday, and before we know it we will be looking at gameweek 25, which is only 2 days away! For now however, lets take a look at how the FPL dream team looked at the end of the gameweek. Here is the gameweek 24 review:

FPL Dreamteam

Goalkeeper

Fraser Forster – Since coming back from injury, Forster has played 4 games in which he has yet to concede a goal. In Forster’s 291 career games, he has kept 147 clean sheets, meaning he is averaging a clean sheet every 0.51 games! With 10 saves against Arsenal midweek, along with 3 bonus points, he see’s himself as the highest scoring goalkeeper with 12 points.

Defenders

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson – Owned by just 0.4% of fantasy football managers, not many will have capitalised from the 11 points the 19 year old earned. Keeping a clean sheet and creating a goal meant that the youngster got his debut in the FPL dream team.

Winston Reid – A clean sheet and 3 bonus for West Ham’s centre back means that Reid takes a spot in the gameweek 24 dream team. Reid managed to complete 74 out of his attempted 78 passes and was crucial in The Hammers’ defensive solidarity.

Gael Clichy – The Manchester City defender matches fellow dream-teamer Reid’s performance, with a clean sheet and 3 bonus points! 9 points and a spot in the dream team for gameweek 24 will satisfy just 0.4% of fantasy Premier League managers.

Midfielders

Ross Barkley – Two late penalties saw Barkley creep into the dream team at the last minute. This earned Ross 3 bonus points too, meaning that 36% of fantasy football managers will be more than happy with the midfielder’s points return, being the highest scorer this week!

Aaron Lennon – Everton were unlucky not to have 4 or 5 this week, as they hit the post 3 times in a matter of minutes. Lennon however stepped up to the plate, as he scored a goal and won a penalty in the 3-0 win over Newcastle. 13 points in total meant he had earned himself a place in the dream team and was the highest scoring player of the week!

Michail Antonio – Many FPL managers looked to Dimitri Payet this week to score some big points, however it was Antonio who stole the show, as he shone in West Ham’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa. With a goal and 3 bonus points, Antonio earned himself a place in the dream team and 1.8% of FPL managers a total of 11 points.

Christian Eriksen – When Eriksen performs to his full potential, Spurs are a completely different team. This gameweek Eriksen, along with Alli, made the team tick and got himself 2 assists, 2 bonus points and a spot in this week’s fantasy Premier League dream team.

Strikers

Jamie Vardy – Once again the Leicester City man is back in the dream team, after he scored his 17th and 18th goals of the season! This week was also Jamie Vardy’s first goal of the season which was from outside the box! If Leicester City are to win the league, it will have a lot to do with the in-form Englishman.

Harry Kane – Many thought the Spurs striker was a one season wonder, but how he has proved everyone wrong! Tuesday night he managed to bag two more goals against Norwich, taking him to 15 this season and earning himself 13 points for the gameweek.

Anthony Martial – Since joining Manchester United, Martial has shown some signs of pure class and the potential that the youngster has. This week was one of those weeks, with 1 assist and 1 goal. His assist for Rooney set up the English skipper’s 99th goal at Old Trafford, maybe Martial will give him a hand at reaching 100 against Arsenal.

We hope you have enjoyed the gameweek 24 review. Best of luck next week!
