Season Prospects – AFC Bournemouth

The newly promoted champions will look to continue upon their successes after a dominant season securing pole position of the second tier. With 98 goals and overall a consistent, exciting season, the side will be full of confidence and is opted to be the most likely to stay up from the 3 sides promoted. Key performances from Wilson, Kermorgant and Richie secured them more than half of their goals and the 3 will look to carry their force and disturb defences for another season. A huge challenge is set for Bournemouth and everyone is waiting to see how they cope with higher quality, larger crowds and waiting to criticize them right from the offset.

STAR MAN – Callum Wilson (5.5m)

24 goals is something to shout about, and he will be hoping to carry this form into this season. His performances have interested a wide array of premier league clubs, with Tottenham and Southampton being the highest bidders. Eddie Howe needs to hold onto this player as he is pacey, quick thinking striker can score from anything, without the need of the chance handed to him on a plate. Even if he did half as well, he would still be worth buying with many managers looking for big names, Wilson will be a cheap alternative allowing you to splash out on other players. The player has a lot of hype and will need to control this if he wants to make a name for himself this season. He is also English and under 21, Always a bonus!

HIDDEN GEM – Steve Cook (4.5m)

The experienced defender will most likely start every game alongside the captain, and is heavily relied on to ensure that Bournemouth can prevent early threats from the worlds best. He did an outstanding job last season but was outshined by goal scorers, taking all the headlines. The physical, intelligent defender has been said to be a brick wall and Eddie Howe will only look to develop his skills instead of splashing out on a new signing. Why fix something which isn’t broke?
