Captaincy Analysis – FPL Gameweek 33 Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

3 gameweeks in 10 days and now we’ve had to wait a whole week for gameweek 33! With that being said, we are now at the business end of the FPL season and before we look at this week’s fantasy football captaincy analysis, here’s how last week’s selections did:

1. Sergio Aguero – 9 points
2. Zlatan Ibrahimovic – 12 points
3. Romelu Lukaku – 13 points
Differential – Divock Origi – 2 points
Gamble – Christian Benteke – 2 points

Now onto this week’s picks:

1. Dele Alli (BOU)

He’s been absolutely fantastic this season, and hasn’t blanked since GW25 (7 weeks ago!), scoring 5 goals and assisting 3 times in that time. A home game to Bournemouth is bound to feature many goals, and with Kane back from injury, it’s only likely to increase the chances of Alli scoring double digits this week. Definitely one to consider for captaincy, especially if you want to maintain a good rank!

2. Romelu Lukaku (BUR)

A home game in 2017 for Everton is likely to see plenty of goals. Lukaku hasn’t blanked at home this year, Burnley have a really poor away record (the worst in the league!), so if you stick the 2 together, captaining Lukaku seems logical. Everton will be desperate to catch up to the top 6, and will need Lukaku to fire for them on Saturday, and I think he’ll get on the scoresheet more than once this week!

3. Roberto Firmino (WBA)

It seems that Firmino isn’t actually in great form, however, upon inspection, he has only blanked once since GW25! Although many of them are only assists, Liverpool play West Brom this weekend, who have been in poor form since they hit 40 points and haven’t scored in their last three games. With this in mind, I think Liverpool should run riot against the Baggies and with Mane out, it could push Firmino further forward and this could lead to more points.

Differential – Wilfried Zaha (LEI)

Zaha has burst into form since the arrival of Sam Allardyce, scoring 1 and assisting 3 in 3 games for Palace. With Palace playing Leicester, who will possibly be resting players after their Champions League game, it could mean that Zaha could have more chance to score. With his ownership only 10.3%, he could prove to be a good differential option, especially for those who need to catch up to their mini league rivals!

Gamble – Zlatan Ibrahimovic (CHE)

Since Zlatan came back from his suspension, he has scored 2 and assisted one in two games, but a home game to Chelsea will prove to a bit difficult, as Chelsea are the best away team in the league this season. With United struggling to score at Old Trafford, Chelsea could exploit their weaknesses and could make it harder for Zlatan to score, hence why he is the gamble for this week.
