Captaincy Analysis – FPL Gameweek 35 Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Gameweek 35 comes just over 24 hours after gameweek 34 has finished and many FPL managers will be looking to have that final push in those mini leagues. Before we look at this week’s captaincy analysis, here’s how last week’s picks did:

1. Zlatan Ibrahimovic – 0 points (due to injury)
2. Harry Kane – 4 points
3. Romelu Lukaku – 2 points
Differential – Alvaro Negredo – 4 points
Gamble – Wilfried Zaha – 3 points

Now onto this week’s picks:

1. Sergio Aguero (MID)

With 6 goals in his last 8 games, Aguero has been in magnificent form ever since Jesus got injured. He has proved his critics wrong, and was unlucky not to get a late assist in the Manchester derby. Regardless of the derby, Aguero is still the number one pick, as City play Boro away from home, who have been in poor form in 2017, winning only one game in 4 months. With City desperate to get a top 4 finish, they can’t afford to slip up this late on in the season, so I can see Aguero getting a few on the weekend.

2. Christian Benteke (BUR)

Despite Palace and Benteke being in exceptional form, they couldn’t do anything against Spurs. However, that still doesn’t take away the fact that Benteke has 5 goals in 6 games, which could be made better this week when Palace play Burnley at home. With Burnley having the worst away record in the league and how poor they have been in the last 10 games, I can see Benteke doing very well this week!

3. Josh King (SUN)

Possibly one of the best players to invest in, King has been a fantastic player to own in the last few weeks. He’s only blanked twice in the last 9 GW’s, and has 6 goals and 1 assist in the last 7 games. Listed as a midfielder, he has been playing in a more advanced role with Afobe in the past few weeks, and could have a chance to increase his goal tally as they travel to the North-East to play Sunderland. A win for Bournemouth means that Sunderland will be relegated.

Differential – Manolo Gabbiadini (HUL)

Gabbiadini came back from his injury to play 85 minutes against Chelsea, getting an assist in the game. This week’s game should be easier as they take on Hull at home, who have a poor record away from home. Gabbiadini was in brilliant from prior to his injury, scoring 4 in 3 games. As he is only owned by 3.7%, he could prove to be a good differential option, especially with the season drawing to an end.

Gamble – Romelu Lukaku (CHE)

Lukaku has set an impressive Everton record, scoring in 8 consecutive home games for the first time in over 50 years. With this in mind, you’d be a fool not to consider captaining him. However, Everton take on league leaders Chelsea, who can’t afford any slip ups, especially considering how close Spurs are behind them. Chelsea have been fantastic for the majority of the season, however they haven’t kept a clean sheet in 8 games, so with goals likely in this game, will Lukaku be involved in them?
