Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 10 FPL Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

This season, fantasy football is becoming harder and harder to play. Crucial to FPL success is a solid captain pick, of which is becoming incredibly tricky. Our captaincy analysis aims to help this dilemma, but when you have luck like Chelsea scoring 4 and Diego Costa not being involved in any, then you know your luck is out. This theme is continued, as Aguero failed to find the back of the net, yet Iheanacho came off the bench to stick one in! But hey. this is what makes the game as fun as it is!

Before we look at this weeks picks, here is how last weeks captaincy analysis did:

1. Alexis Sanchez – 3 points
2. Romelu Lukaku – 5 points
3. Sergio Aguero – 1 point
Differential – Joe Allen – 2 points
Gamble – Diego Costa – 2 points

Not the best week, but we have more hope for this week:

1. Alexis Sanchez (SUN)

You could have picked any Arsenal attacker to be the number one pick this week, but arguably, Sanchez has the best chance of topping the points this week. Despite being held to a 0-0 draw last week, Sanchez is still in good form and will continueto be played in his favoured number 9 role. This week, Arsenal play a Sunderland team that have been so poor this season, especially at the back, where they’ve been leaking goals left right and centre. Sanchez surely has to get on the scoresheet against them this week…

2. Phillipe Coutinho (CRY)

Liverpool look incredible this year. Absolutely incredible. Their midfield is fantastic, with Coutinho, Mane, Firmino all in good form. Milner and Henderson have been coming up with goals as well and seems to be a team that are just scoring goals for fun! However, every week, there’s a dilemma of who will actually score the goals. All three were rested in the Tuesday night game, so all should start, but the main question is, who will score the most points? Our pick is Coutinho, who is the man with the most FPL points for Liverpool and every time he plays he looks likely to find the back of the net.

3. Romelu Lukaku (WHU)

Despite Everton failing to win against Burnley, Lukaku did manage to get an assist for Bolasie’s goal, something that was quite lucky as he was completely locked out of the game by the Burnley defenders. This week Everton play West Ham, who have struggled defensively this year, twice conceding 4 in a single game! Can Everton make it three, but more importantly, can Lukaku score a few? He’s the main source of goals within the Everton team, so if anyone scores, usually Lukaku is likely to be involved.

Differential – Troy Deeney (HUL)

Owned by less than 5%, Deeney hasn’t been involved in the goals as of late; however this week, Watford take on a Hull side that have completely crumbled in the last two months, not winning a game since September. Watford have to take advantage of this and specifically Deeney has to pounce on their poor form with a goal or two. It’s a differential pick, so I’d only advise this pick to those who need to catch back up to those in their mini leagues!

Gamble – Sergio Aguero (WBA)

Can’t remember the last time Aguero was considered a ‘gamble’ in FPL, however his current form has been horrific. 1 point in THREE games for the Argentinian means that people are considering dumping the usually-prolific striker. City take on West Brom this week, who are usually decent defensively, which is why Aguero is now a gamble. People will say that he’s ‘fixture proof’ but he has to prove it this week against the Baggies.
