Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 12 FPL Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Welcome to our captaincy analysis for the upcoming gameweek 12. I hope you all enjoyed the international break and are ready for the return of the Premier League this weekend. Thankfully it appears most of the big hitters have came back unharmed with the exception of in-form Alexis Sanchez, so most of the key options should be fit and ready to go at the weekend.

Here’s how last week’s captaincy analysis did:

1. Sergio Aguero – 6 points
2. Phillipe Coutinho – 11 points
3. Romelu Lukaku – 2 points
Differential – Olivier Giroud – 1 point
Gamble – Callum Wilson – 0 points

Now onto this week’s picks:

1. Eden Hazard (MID)

The Chelsea playmaker is perhaps the league’s form player right now; his level of performance over the last few gameweeks has been incredible and culminated in his dominating performance against Everton. The Chelsea team is really hitting its stride and on current form could outclass any side. If I were a Boro fan, I wouldn’t be looking forward to Sunday’s game one bit. Based on form alone, Hazard is your man.

2. Sergio Aguero (CRY)

The Argentinan striker has been on fire of late and is not far off being an indispensable part of any FPL side. Coming back from South America without picking up an injury is a blessing for City fans who have seen Aguero score goals for fun with Pep at the helm. This Saturday, City travel to face a Crystal Palace team who will give even the best sides a game but it’s worth mentioning their defence is fragile and you’d imagine with the attacking firepower in the City side, Aguero could add to his 8 league goals. The most obvious pick this week.

3. Romelu Lukaku (SWA)

The Belgian forward grabbed a double on Friday which is the perfect preparation for his return to club action on Saturday afternoon. Lukaku is very much a man in form and so far this season he has bagged himself 7 league goals. Most of the Belgian’s goals come at Goodison which is a good sign because Swansea travel to Goodison and given the fact the Swansea defence have been shipping goals under Bob Bradley, Romelu Lukaku is definitely worth considering this week.

Gamble – Alexis Sanchez (MUN)

The Chilean forward is another example of a player who was on a great run of form before the internationals. However, he has picked up an injury of some sort while in Chile, and there appears to be no word on it’s severity so it’s worth keeping an eye out for Wenger’s press conference. If he’s fit, then he’s got to be worth a shout given his personal form along with the purple patch Arsenal are enjoying. A risk but the reward is there.

Differential – Jermain Defoe (HUL)

The Sunderland striker is the only glimmer of hope in what has been a grim season on all accounts for the Black Cats. It took them until gameweek 11 to register a win and they lie adrift at the foot of the table. However, all is not lost for Sunderland as they have a striker who knows how to find the net and has done so on 6 previous occasions this campaign. They host fellow strugglers Hull in a relegation 6 pointer so if you’re looking for a bold and differential captaincy move then Defoe is highly recommended.

That concludes this captaincy analysis, thanks for reading and good luck!
