Differentials XI – Gameweek 12 FPL Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

It’s at this stage in the season after the international break I’m realising just how hard of challenge this Differentials XI is. Casting an eye back to gameweek 5 where I was in the top 6th of FPL managers, I was only looking upwards, thinking a top 1/2 million was possible. After a few bad weeks and numerous injuries, the Differentials XI are lying at almost 2 and a half millionth.

Here’s how the Differentials XI looked at the end of the week:

Differentials XI

At the back we only saw 11 points from our 5 defensive players. That being said, we expect more from them in the coming weeks as our back 6 do have some good fixtures coming up. In the middle of park we saw another disappointing display, 5 points from 4 players. An injury to Shaqiri didn’t help, but if this form continues they won’t find themselves in this team much longer. Finally up top we saw Benteke & Musa play as our captain, Callum Wilson, picked up a last minute injury.

So last time out we managed a minuscule tally of 30 points, but surely we’re due a good week?

Here’s the Differentials XI for gameweek 12:

Differentials XI

Starting XI: Stekelenburg (4.4%), Luiz (1.9%), Coleman (4.6%), Shawcross (2.4%), Dawson (1.7%), Pereyra (0.6%), Nolito (1.4%), Bolasie (6.4%), Snodgrass (3.7%), Benteke (7.0%), Musa (4.3%)

Bench: Forster (4.4%), Mustafi (1.8%), Wilson (4.8%), Eriksen (4.7%)

Looking at my 4 defenders and goalkeeper, with a bit of luck 3 clean sheets should be the aim. Stekelenburg and Coleman at home to Swansea; the Toffees had the second best defensive record in the league before their demolition at the hands of Chelsea, so hopefully they’ll bounce back to the sort of performances we know they are capable off. Speaking of Chelsea, David Luiz has a trip away to Middlesbrough. The Blues will be aiming to make it 6 wins and 6 clean sheets on the trot. Here’s hoping! Stoke’s fortunes have turned around after a sluggish start and Shawcross has been key in that reduced number of goals conceded with the aid of on-loan keeper Lee Grant. At home to Bournemouth, a clean sheet is more than plausible with the Cherries’ Callum Wilson looking like he’ll miss out. Completing the defence is Dawson of West Brom. Burnley at home is another opportunity to have a 6 point return.

Midfield is where we look weakest but let’s pray the boys deliver. New transfer in Snodgrass has a decent run of fixtures starting with Sunderland away; a fixture that may prove pivotal in the relegation battle. Bolasie has Swansea at home and he’s been picking up a few more points than I excepted so long may that continue. Nolito found himself out of the Manchester City starting eleven but I think that may prove to only be temporary given their current form. The sky blue team were at their best earlier on in the season when the Spaniard was playing so I think Pep will start playing him soon enough. Pereyra is still in my team somehow, yes. How the hell did he play for Juventus beforehand? Anything for him is a bonus against the champions.

Up top is one target man in Benteke and one speed demon, Musa. Benteke may have found himself on my bench but due to Wilson’s knock and City’s shoddy home form, I reckon he’s worth the punt. Musa away to Watford will find it difficult with the Hornets’ physicality but they aren’t the fastest at the back and that may prove to be an advantage to him!
