Good luck for a midweek gameweek 16, here’s our FPL gameweek 16 preview:

Bournemouth vs Leicester

Bournemouth vs Leicester City

Bournemouth were beaten away at Burnley on the weekend despite an attempted fight back late on, whereas the Foxes turned out to be the surprising victors of the weekend with an emphatic 4-2 victory over Manchester City. Both teams will be looking to win the game and keep themselves away from the drop zone. This promises to be a closely contested game.

STAR MAN: Riyad Mahrez (9.0m)

Performed brilliantly against the Citizens on the weekend and will look to show off his skills away to the Cherries.

PREDICTION: Bournemouth 2-2 Leicester

Everton vs Arsenal

Everton vs Arsenal

Everton have been on a very bad run of form lately and will be looking to get their season back on track at Goodison Park after a good start to the campaign. However, they face a test from an in-form Arsenal side that don’t seem to be putting a foot wrong so far. Seems like an easy Arsenal win considering the form of both clubs.

STAR MAN: Alexis Sanchez (11.7m)

After being subbed after 60mins and rested, he will be fresh and raring to go and get some goals.

PREDICTION: Everton 1-3 Arsenal

Middlesbrough vs Liverpool

Middlesbrough vs Liverpool

Boro haven’t been playing well recently and Liverpool also have failed to win either of their last two games and are now six points off table toppers Chelsea. They will be looking to win this game and get back into the race for the top by closing the gap.

STAR MAN: Sadio Mane (9.3m)

He has been crucial in Liverpool’s attacking play and with his skill, he can easily help break down the Boro defence.

PREDICTION: Middlesbrough 1-2 Liverpool

Sunderland vs Chelsea

Sunderland vs Chelsea

Sunderland were well beaten by the Swans at the Liberty and find themselves placed at the bottom of the table now. Facing the league leaders Chelsea will prove to be a mammoth task for Moyes’ men and by the looks of it, there is very little chance that his side will get something out of this game.

STAR MAN: Eden Hazard (10.5m)

After not being able to get on the scoresheet last weekend, he will be tipped to get his side across the line against the Black Cats.

PREDICTION: Sunderland 1-3 Chelsea

West Ham vs Burnley

West Ham vs Burnley

The Hammers have been far from convincing this season and are experiencing a horrendous start to the campaign, finding themselves just a point above the drop zone. Burnley have defied the odds and are sitting in thirteenth place, having won a 5 goal thriller at the weekend. Looks like an open game with both sides getting their fair share of chances.

STAR MAN: Dimitri Payet (9.1m)

Always in the thick of it and sure to be amongst the goals to inspire the Hammers for the win.

PREDICTION: West Ham 2-0 Burnley

Crystal Palace vs Manchester United

Crystal Palace vs Manchester United

The Eagles have been playing some amazing attacking football in recent weeks, having taken 4 points in the past 2 games. However, this week they come up against a points hungry United side, who are on the back of a Home win against Spurs, and will definitely be willing to give everything for the 3 points. An away win for Jose’s men seems to be on the cards.

STAR MAN: Zlatan Ibrahimovic (11.2m)

Having been involved in 8 goals in his last 7 appearances, he is definitely poised to haunt the Eagles’ defence.

PREDICTION: Crystal Palace 0-3 Manchester United

Manchester City vs Watford

Manchester City vs Watford

Watford are a team that is definitely high on confidence having stunned the Toffees last time out, and they come up against Pep’s City side that were humbled by champions Leicester. Watford aren’t going to make the trip up North to lie down and City need the points so this could result in an entertaining and high scoring game.

STAR MAN: Kelechi Iheanacho (6.8m)

Having been unsuccessful last time out, he will be determined to show everyone that he is more than capable of filling Aguero’s boots.

PREDICTION: Manchester City 3-2 Watford

Spurs vs Hull

Tottenham vs Hull City

Spurs registered their second defeat in 3 games at the weekend, having not lost a single game prior to then, and they will be looking to get straight back, with nothing except a win acceptable. An easy home win for Spurs.

STAR MAN: Christian Eriksen (8.3m)

The Danish international is the creator in chief of the Spurs attack and will definitely have an eye for goal when the Tigers visit the Lane.

PREDICTION: Tottenham 4-0 Hull City

Stoke vs Southampton

Stoke City vs Southampton

Both these sides are placed right next to each other in the league table and both of them have lacked clinical nature in front of goal. It seems like it’ll be a cagey affair with the Saints just edging it.

STAR MAN: Virgil van Dijk (5.6m)

The Dutchman has been an anchor in the Saints defence line, having played a crucial role in registering 3 clean sheets in the last 4 games. A big haul might be just around the corner.

PREDICTION: Stoke City 1-2 Southampton

West Brom vs Swansea

West Brom vs Swansea City

West Brom were unfortunate not to come out of the game at Stamford Bridge with anything to show for their efforts as they put in a fine defensive display. Swansea are scoring quite frequently as of late so this could be quite an interesting tie.

STAR MAN: Gylfi Sigurdsson (7.5m)

He has the fixtures, he has the form, and he is definitely the one to own.

PREDICTION: West Brom 1-1 Swansea City
