FPL Gameweek 25 Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Gameweek 24 was full of high’s and low’s for FPL managers, as well as the teams involved in the fixtures, with many unpredictable results and scores. This gameweek promises to be an enthralling one as well with some interesting fixtures both at the top and bottom of the table.

So here are a few points and players to be considered for your FPL side for the upcoming gameweek. Good luck & may your arrows be green!

Arsenal vs Hull

Arsenal have been in bad form recently, having lost 2 games on the spin yet again this season, which has now resulted in Chelsea having a 12 point lead over them. Wenger has said that every game is a must win for them now and we expect them to come out all guns blazing against this Hull side which is in relatively decent form under their new manager. Despite this, an away win at the Emirates seems to be highly unlikely.

STAR MAN: Alexis Sanchez (11.8m)

Didn’t play well last time around and will be looking to be ruthless against the Tigers.

PREDICTION: Arsenal 3-0 Hull

Manchester United vs Watford

Manchester United have been unbeaten since gameweek 9 and were very good last time out versus Leicester. Watford on the other hand are unbeaten in their last 4 games and will prove to be good opposition for this United side which is flying high and now just two points off a top four spot.

STAR MAN: Henrikh Mkhitaryan (8.8m)

Has been in really great form in the last few gameweeks and certainly proves to be a great option in midfield.

PREDICTION: Manchester United 2-0 Watford

Middlesbrough vs Everton

Middlesbrough have not managed to get a win in a fixture since gameweek 17 and seem to be heading closer and closer to the relegation zone. Everton on the other hand have been wonderful in their last few games and last week put 6 past the Cherries. They enter this game in full form and should be able to win comfortably.

STAR MAN: Ross Barkley (7.0m)

He will be a key player in the centre of midfield in breaking down the very tight Boro defence.

PREDICTION: Middlesbrough 1-2 Everton

Stoke vs Crystal Palace

Stoke City haven’t been very good at all this season and seeing as they currently sit 11th, they seem to be heading for a mid-table finish. This game against a struggling Palace side does prove to be an opportunity for the Potters but Big Sam will bring a very well drilled side to the bet365 stadium and will hope to get at least a point from this game in order to gain some momentum.

STAR MAN: Christian Benteke (7.4m)

If Palace manage to get a goal in this game, it won’t be anyone else other than this man who is the only threat up front for them.

PREDICTION: Stoke 1-1 Crystal Palace

Sunderland vs Southampton

Sunderland were prolific last time out versus their relegation rivals Palace and they will be looking to take advantage of this home game and finally get away from the bottom of the table. Southampton haven’t been in great form recently and will be looking to get the much needed win to get themselves back into the race for the top 10. This will prove to be a tasty affair with both teams looking for the three points.

STAR MAN: Jermain Defoe (7.8m)

He will be key for Sunderland’s survival hopes this season and will be looking to add to his tally of 14 goals and close in on the chase for the golden boot.

PREDICTION: Sunderland 2-1 Southampton

West Ham vs West Brom

The Hammers have recently put in some phenomenal performances which has seen them rise as high as 9th in the league table, sitting just behind their gameweek 25 opponents. Baggies on the other hand are having a dream season who are comfortably placed in 8th & will definitely have ambitions to rise further up the table. This game seems to be a fixture in which a strong attacking side comes up against the stringent Pulis defence with the Baggies looking for opportunities to hurt the Hammers on the counter.

STAR MAN: James Morrison (4.6m)

The midfielder has been quietly racking up points with 3 goals in his last 5 games. He seems to be the perfect differential in the coming weeks.

PREDICTION: West Ham 2-2 West Brom

Liverpool vs Tottenham

The Saturday evening kick off brings us the game of the gameweek with 2 league giants going head to head. Liverpool have been out of sorts since the turn of the year, winning just 1 game in all competitions in 2017. Spurs on the other hand have been playing some amazing football & sit 2nd on the league table. The game is bound to be a cracker of a competition with Spurs looking all set to overpower the home side.

STAR MAN: Christian Eriksen (8.8m)

After blanks in each of the last 3 games, the Dane will be looking to provide those moments of magic at Anfield.

PREDICTION: Liverpool 1-2 Tottenham

Burnley vs Chelsea

Certainly seems like a walk in the park for the Blues who won their last game against the Gunners with utmost ease. Burnley haven’t shown much form lately & a win against Chelsea seems to be too much of an ask. Easy 3 points for Conte’s men.

STAR MAN: Eden Hazard (10.2m)

The Belgian has sprung back in to life in recent weeks & will prove to be a menace for the Clarets defence.

PREDICTION: Burnley 0-3 Chelsea

Swansea vs Leicester

Swansea City narrowly missed out on a point last time out against Manchester City, despite putting in a strong performance. The Foxes on the other hand have been simply miserable in recent weeks, having lost four games on the trot & an away trip to the Liberty Stadium looks like a fixture that will add to their misery.

STAR MAN: Gylfi Sigurdsson (7.4m)

3 goals in the last 3 games, so buy him; hold him close and don’t ever let him go!

PREDICTION: Swansea City 2-0 Leicester City

Bournemouth vs Manchester City

The Cherries have not been at their very best lately, having won just 2 points in the last 5 games, while City on the other hand have won each of their last 2 games all courtesy of their 19 year old January signing, Gabriel Jesus. The Cherries need to step up as whole & find a plan B if they are to get any result against City, who are still a bit shaky at the back.

STAR MAN: Gabriel Jesus (9.2m)

3 games into the Premier League & the Brazilian already has 3 goals to his name. His pace will be something that could torment the Cherries’ defensive line.

PREDICTION: Bournemouth 1-2 Manchester City
