FPL Gameweek 26 Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

The season of the blank gameweeks dawns upon us with 4 major sides fixtureless this gameweek, but still this weekend offers an exciting range of Premier League fixtures which could bring some massive fantasy football points! So here we are yet again, giving you an insight on how each game could pan out & handpicking a few players looking all set to perform this gameweek. Choose your transfers wisely as another gameweek of even fewer fixtures is just around the corner.

Good luck & may your arrows be green!

Chelsea vs Swansea

The Swans are on a roll having grabbed yet another win in the previous gameweek, making it 3 wins in the last 4 fixtures, while league leaders Chelsea were forced to play out a draw at Turf Moor against a resilient Burnley side. The Swans will definitely want to get something out of this game but with the firepower the Blues possess, it seems like it’ll be an open & shut case.

STAR MAN: Eden Hazard (10.3m)

The little Belgian is yet again looking lively on the pitch, and a massive haul might be just around the corner.

PREDICTION: Chelsea 2-0 Swansea

Crystal Palace vs Middlesbrough

A clash at the very bottom of the league table which both sides will desperately want to win. Palace have lost each of their last 4 home games while Boro on the other hand are winless in their last 5 fixtures. We should expect an open ended game with both sides fighting it out for each and every point.

STAR MAN: Christian Benteke (7.2m)

His towering headers could be something that could haunt the Boro defence.

PREDICTION: Crystal Palace 1-1 Middlesbrough

Everton vs Sunderland

The Toffees are undefeated in their last 5 games and are arguably inconsistent, scoring 6 in a week and then playing out a goalless draw the very next. Koeman will be looking to galvanize his side and the Black Cats may have to deal with sitting at the very bottom of the league for yet another week. A home win for the Toffees.

STAR MAN: Romelu Lukaku (9.9m)

The Belgian sits just behind Sanchez in the race for the golden boot, and will surely be having the urge to claim the top spot this week.

PREDICTION: Everton 3-1 Sunderland

Hull vs Burnley

The Tigers have found some form lately, having taken home a point from Old Trafford and winning against the mighty Liverpool. Moreover, the Tigers are undefeated in their last 3 home games & with the away form Burnley possess, it seems this result will be going Hull’s way.

STAR MAN: Eldin Jakupovic (4.1m)

He has averaged 7 points over the last 3 games & he definitely has the fixture to deliver yet again.

PREDICTION: Hull 2-0 Burnley

West Brom vs Bournemouth

The Baggies have been on a great run recently, having gone four games unbeaten now, and finding themselves in 8th spot would not have been something they would’ve expected at the start of the season. Bournemouth on the other hand last won a game in gameweek 19 and are desperately in need of a win but considering the West Brom defence they face, it might be difficult for the Cherries to get a win from this game.

STAR MAN: Salomón Rondón (6.7m)

Hasn’t scored for a long time now and will be looking to make a scoring comeback versus a defensively unstable Cherries team.

PREDICTION: West Brom 2-0 Bournemouth

Watford vs West Ham

Both these teams are not where they might have expected to be at the start of the season and find themselves somewhere in mid table. Of these two sides, Watford have been the ones who have found it very tough to get any sort of momentum going with most of their players underperforming. West Ham have done well to cope with the absence of Payet and seem to be a more free flowing side. Watford might have the home advantage but the Hammers won’t be easily beaten.

STAR MAN: Michail Antonio (7.0m)

Has been blanking for the past three gameweeks and with his free role, he might pop up behind the Watford defence and cause them all sorts of trouble.

PREDICTION: Watford 2-2 West Ham

Tottenham vs Stoke

Tottenham haven’t been playing too well recently and also lost midweek in Europe. The loss last time around versus Liverpool will have given the players an added incentive to come out all guns blazing and put in a convincing performance against a Stoke team that has underperformed this season. Seems like a home win on the cards.

STAR MAN: Christian Eriksen (8.7m)

Has been silently influencing the attacking play for Spurs and it won’t be too long until he pops up with a goal or two for himself.

PREDICTION: Tottenham 2-0 Stoke City

Leicester vs Liverpool

Leicester have been in dreadful form throughout the season and this game is kind of a must win for them in order to stake their claim in the Premier League and prove that they can survive. Liverpool were comfortable winners last time out at home to Spurs and will be going into this game with great confidence after the return of Mane has sparked new life into the Red’s attacking play.

STAR MAN: Roberto Firmino (8.4m)

This might just be the game where the counter attack comes in handy for the Reds, with the pace of Mane on the flanks and Bobby up top possibly profiting from this.

PREDICTION: Leicester 1-2 Liverpool
