FPL Gameweek 27 Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

A few of the teams will be fresh after having GW26 off and this will certainly impact the way this gameweek pans out. Hope this helps you pick your transfers for the week wisely and assists you in getting green arrows!

Manchester United vs Bournemouth

The Red Devils have been on a very long unbeaten run and are just two points from a place in the top four which seemed highly unlikely after the first few weeks. They will want to put the pressure on the other teams as they play first and playing at home gives them an added advantage. The Cherries have been very poor on their travels, having collected just 8 points. A win against this United team at Old Trafford, who are fresh from their league cup win, will be a very daunting task.

STAR MAN: Zlatan Ibrahimovic (11.5m)

The big Swede has been key for United up front this season and his form might just be enough to cause various problems for the Bournemouth defence.

PREDICTION: Manchester United 3-1 Bournemouth

Leicester vs Hull

Battle for relegation has tightened up quite a lot now and both these teams are in the scrap. Leicester, having sacked Ranieri, won at home last time around rather crucially against Liverpool. Hull City on the other hand have been very good under new manager Marco Silva and will be looking to continue this way, but their form away from home has been very poor having collected only 5 points from a possible 39. This will be a very open game with both teams going all out for the win.

STAR MAN: Riyad Mahrez (8.9m)

If Vardy is back scoring, Mahrez could be in the centre of the proceedings yet again for the Foxes and might just prove to be a great addition.

PREDICTION: Leicester City 2-1 Hull City

Stoke vs Middlesbrough

Stoke in the last game against Spurs were just horrific defensively in the first half which cost them the game within 45 mins, having gone 4 goals down with no way back. Boro are struggling to get any sort of momentum going at the moment and after a very confident start to the season, they are really struggling for the attacking returns required for a win. Boro will come out all guns blazing but an away victory at the Britannia seems highly unlikely.

STAR MAN: Marko Arnautovic (7.1m)

He is bound to contribute if the Potters were to win this game.

PREDICTION: Stoke City 2-0 Middlesbrough

Swansea vs Burnley

Swansea have won three of their last five games and have been having some sort of a mini revival. Their players are starting to click and the manager seems to have gotten things under control. Burnley have been decent throughout the season but their away form is disappointing and they will find it really tough to get a result away from home against a really good Swansea team.

STAR MAN: Gylfi Sigurdsson (7.6m)

Whenever Swansea threaten the goal, this man is involved in some way or another. He has arguably been Swansea’s best player this season.

PREDICTION: Swansea 2-0 Burnley

Watford vs Southampton

Watford are placed 12th in the table currently and are 9 points clear from the drop but they will be looking to reach that 40 point mark as soon as possible. The opponents, the Saints, have had a poor season in comparison to their previous two seasons and will be looking to finish the league inside the top 10 at least. Both teams will be looking to get the three points and this might just prove to be an exciting game with both sides having their fair share of chances.

STAR MAN: Manolo Gabbiadini (6.6m)

The striker has had an immediate impact in the Saints team and is in red hot form.

PREDICTION: Watford 1-2 Southampton

West Brom vs Crystal Palace

High flying Baggies are unbeaten in their previous five games and have a pretty great home record this season. The Eagles on the other hand will be desperate for a victory having won last time out and they’ll want to continue this streak and gain momentum in order to put some breathing space between them and the relegation zone. The Baggies will surely be a tough nut to crack so this is a hard one to call.

STAR MAN: Nacer Chadli (6.0m)

In the potential absence of Philips, he might be the man to create the chances for his team and maybe pop up with a goal as well.

PREDICTION: West Brom 1-0 Crystal Palace

Liverpool vs Arsenal

The big game of the weekend will be played at Anfield where both teams will be desperate for a victory. Arsenal are arguably still in the chase for the title and have to win this game should they wish to stay in that race. Although Liverpool’s form against the top 6 in the Premier League is pretty good, they have struggled recently with 3 losses in their previous 5 games. Beating the Gunners might be a tough job but Liverpool will surely prove to be a strong opposition.

STAR MAN: Alexis Sanchez (11.6m)

Having had the weekend off he will be raring to go and also get his goals in order to help his race for the golden boot.

PREDICTION: Liverpool 2-3 Arsenal

Tottenham vs Everton

Tottenham have been in great form but still find themselves ten points off the leaders Chelsea. Their home form this season has been fantastic, having not lost a single game at the Lane. Everton on the other hand are unbeaten since gameweek 17 and will be looking to continue this streak away from home. However, beating Spurs away might be a very difficult task, especially if that man Kane is in form.

STAR MAN: Christian Eriksen (8.7m)

The Dane has been the creator in chief for Spurs and is bound to get himself a few points this time out.

PREDICTION: Tottenham 1-1 Everton

Sunderland vs Manchester City

Sunderland are now in deep deep trouble and are in a pretty familiar situation when you compare their previous seasons. They face a very inconsistent yet third placed Manchester City team who are playing well, having won their last three games. Sunderland will have to put their all into this game in order to get some sort of result and keep in touch with the teams above.

STAR MAN: Sergio Aguero (12.7m)

Hasn’t been at his best yet after return from injury and would like to break his barren run.

PREDICTION: Sunderland 1-3 Manchester City

West Ham vs Chelsea

A London derby to end the gameweek. West Ham will be looking to get something out of this game to cheer up their supporters whereas the Blues will be looking to increase their lead at the top of the table with just 13 gameweeks to go. Hard to comfortably predict which way this game might sway but both teams do have a chance of clinching the points.

STAR MAN: Diego Costa (10.7m)

Costa has led the line ever so well this season and has popped up with a goal or two whenever needed. Sure to make an impact if Chelsea see the ball more.

PREDICTION: West Ham 1-2 Chelsea
