FPL Gameweek 34 Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

With just five more gameweeks to go and many teams with double gameweeks coming up, this week is crucial in prepping for the home straight and how those handy chips you’ve saved might come in to play.

Bournemouth vs Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough are winless since gameweek 17 and are sliding down the barrel with just 6 games left in their season. After showing promise last time out at home against the Gunners, they will be looking to cause the Cherries some trouble who themselves are winless in 4 games and are placed in 16th. Both teams will be looking to win this game and get points on the board.

STAR MAN: Joshua King (5.8m)

He has been in great form in recent games and will be crucial if Bournemouth are to win this game.

PREDICTION: Bournemouth 1-1 Middlesbrough

Hull vs Watford

Hull City are out of the drop zone for the moment and their home form has been great under Marco Silva. Watford on the other hand have gathered 9 points from the last 15 available to them and are placed comfortably in tenth place. Hull will have to play very well in order to get the three points to steer them even clearer of the drop zone.

STAR MAN: Oumar Niasse (5.6m)

He will be crucial with his pace and power in order to run in-between the Watford defence.

PREDICTION: Hull 1-0 Watford

Swansea vs Stoke

Swansea enter this game having lost their previous three fixtures and will be determined to get the three points from this game with the relegation battle heating up. Stoke will be gritty in defence and will try to cause a goal threat here and there but it seems like the Swans with the home advantage will be able to snatch the points from the Potters.

STAR MAN: Gylfi Sigurdsson (7.5m)

Always in the thick of the action when the Swans are winning and is key to their chances of survival.

PREDICTION: Swansea 2-1 Stoke

West Ham vs Everton

West Ham United have been very average this season and their form has been really inconsistent, having managed to win just one of their last five Premier League games. Everton on the other hand are set to finish in seventh place and have been doing pretty well in their previous few fixtures. They will be looking to end the season on a high and keep putting pressure on the teams above them and maybe force a way into the Europa league spots.

STAR MAN:Ross Barkley (7.1m)

He has impressed recently and will be looking to prove his talent in these final few fixtures.

PREDICTION: West Ham 0-2 Everton

Burnley vs Manchester United

Burnley have done really well to maintain their position and are currently eight points off the drop zone. Manchester United are pushing for the top four spots and will be looking to win every game in hand now in order to achieve that.

STAR MAN: Zlatan Ibrahimovic (11.4m)

After being rested last time around, Ibra is sure to take the game in his hands and make a strong comeback.

PREDICTION: Burnley 0-2 Manchester United

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace

Liverpool are now unbeaten in their last seven fixtures and are doing well to maintain their position and finish in the top four places. Palace will be looking to carry their good form into this fixture against Liverpool which they have great memories of. A win here might just ensure them a spot in the Premier League for next season.

STAR MAN: Philippe Coutinho (8.5m)

Always looking to move the play forward and will surely influence play with his slick passing.

PREDICTION: Liverpool 2-2 Crystal Palace

Chelsea vs Southampton

Chelsea, having lost their previous fixture at the hands of the Red Devils, now find themselves with their lead at the top of the table cut short to just the four points. Spurs are breathing down their necks and they will consider every game from now a must win. This weekend, against a team like Southampton who don’t have such a good away record this season, the Blues will be looking to get the much needed three points.

STAR MAN: Eden Hazard (10.4m)

No Hazard, no party is what we saw last gameweek and he will surely be looking to influence play more often this time around.

PREDICTION: Chelsea 3-0 Southampton

Arsenal vs Leicester

The Gunners were finally able to get back to winning ways last time around away at Boro. This time they face a challenge against the Foxes at home, who have been in great form ever since the departure of Ranieri but considering the fact that they have picked up just seven points from their travels the whole season, this might prove to be a tough game to get the result from, especially with Arsenal determined to finish in the top four once again.

STAR MAN: Alexis Sanchez (11.6m)

He is certainly due a big score after having scored just twice in his previous six fixtures.

PREDICTION: Arsenal 3-1 Leicester

Middlesbrough vs Sunderland

Two games in a span of three days might take it’s toll on the Boro players but they will have to give it their all in this relegation battle. Sunderland on the other hand can now only reach 39 points maximum and that’s if they win all of their remaining games. With the atmosphere in the camp subdued, Boro might look to take advantage of the situation and get themselves a result.

STAR MAN: Alvaro Negredo (6.2m)

The main man for the team scored against Arsenal and will be looking to add to his tally against the Black Cats.

PREDICTION: Middlesbrough 2-0 Sunderland

Crystal Palace vs Tottenham

Palace have been great under Allardyce at home and certainly don’t concede many. Spurs on the other hand come into this game with great form. The Eagles will look to defend well and restrict Tottenham. This could well be a game that isn’t so straightforward for Spurs.

STAR MAN: Christian Benteke (7.2m)

The big Belgian will be looking to take the Spurs defence by surprise with his power and aerial ability.

PREDICTION: Crystal Palace 1-1 Tottenham

Manchester City vs Manchester United

Perhaps the best saved for last, the Manchester Derby. This game could determine who misses out in the race for the top four. With Jose getting the better of Conte, the spirits are running high around the camp but against a City side that are in top form, the Red devils might find it difficult to get the three points.

STAR MAN: Sergio Aguero (12.8m)

Has the ability to step up in big games and is on a five goal scoring streak coming into this fixture.

PREDICTION: Manchester City 2-2 Manchester United
