Okay, well this is awkward. Hull, Middlesbrough and Sunderland are relegated. Chelsea have won the title and Spurs have secured 2nd. Not much contention elsewhere apart from the battle for 3rd, 4th and 5th. Not the usual high stakes gameweek 38, but then gameweek 38 is known for random results and the good old FPL Punt. So let’s get into it.
In FPL Today, we take a look at the battle for Champions League spots between Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal. It’s Liverpool and Man City’s to lose, but if either team slip up Sanchez and Co now look in great form. And that’s good for us managers, because at least now we can rely on the fact that these three teams at least, shouldn’t rotate.
Chelsea on the other hand, might rotate, but lets not overlook match sharpness. Does Conte really want to rest all of his stars for two games before a big FA Cup Final? Expect those that didn’t start against Watford to start in their final home game of the season in this guy’s honest opinion.
Also Tottenham are potentially going to want to see the season out strong.
No game after gameweek 38 to worry about, but Harry Kane is chasing the golden boot and this is the team that collapsed last year, so maybe they want to prove to the world they can go for a full 38 gameweeks.
We also cover one particular punt I think might be worth taking a risk on, and more on FPL Today:
