Premier Punt – Gameweek 1 FPL Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

The Premier League is nearly back and with that comes fantasy football! Us at FPL Updates HQ, love this time of the year as many try to fill their team with players that are going to perform well over the next few weeks and take in those fantasy points! We are pleased to say that we have once again teamed up with Premier Punt and will be running weekly fantasy football leagues alongside our usual season long FPL league.

The beauty about Premier Punt is that each week you can pick a team, entering just one week only leagues and you don’t have the yearly commitment of looking after your team and making those transfers!

Gameweek 1 we have a FREE entry league with a cash prize of £25! If you fancy the chance to compete against us and many others, be sure to join us using the following steps:

In order to join the league, you need to follow some simple steps:

  1. Log-in or register on the Premier Punt website
  2. Once logged in, choose “Premier League – Week 1”
  3. Pick the team you think will beat us…
  4. Join the challenge “FPL Updates” and use the password “UPDATES”

With that being said, here’s what we hope to be the winning team:

Premier Punt

Defence

At the back we have banked on two teams keeping us clean sheets. Crystal Palace have a season opener against West Brom, who haven’t been ‘scoring for fun’ during preseason, therefore in come Ward and Souare. We are also banking on the title holders keeping a clean sheet against Hull City, who are quite fankly falling apart, so we welcome Huth and Schmeichel.

Midfield

In the middle of the park is where we are hoping to score some big points! Fabregas was the cheaper option than Hazard, as we tried to fit a Chelsea midfielder in. Ayew seems to be playing up top for Swansea and will be perfect for us this week as a midfielder. Ibe has a tough game against Manchester United but will be looking to in his first Premier League game for Bournemouth. Finally we have Tadic who will be looking to fill the boots of Saido Mane.

Forwards

Up top there were only ever 3 men for the job. Aguero and Ibrahimovic don’t really need an introduction, but Burnley’s Andre Gray might. Gray has scored in every pre-season game so far and even grabbed a hattrick in one, hopefully he continues this form into the Premier League!
