FPL Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 15 Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Another gameweek is rapidly upon us, but before we take a look at this week’s captaincy selections, here’s how last week’s FPL Captaincy Analysis did:

1. Eden Hazard – 1 point
2. Mohamed Salah – 13 points
3. Harry Kane – 6 points
Differential – Will Hughes – 1 point
Gamble – Gabriel Jesus – 5 points

Now onto this week’s picks:

1. Eden Hazard (NEW)

Hazard had an unexpected rest last GW and only came on for a 1 point cameo. However, that means he’s likely to start this week, and considering the form he is in, you have to captain him. With 3 goals and 2 assists in his last 2 games that he has started, and with an impressive record against Newcastle (4 goals, 2 assists in 7 games), Hazard could have a decent day in GW15. He’s only owned by 6% too, meaning that if he does explode, he won’t even be that popular for captaincy!

2. Mohamed Salah (BHA)

Being honest, now that Salah is owned by 50%, there is no point celebrating his goals. Unless captained (And he’ll be very popular this week), you’ll not notice the difference in rank. For safety, Salah is the perfect man, because every man and their dog will be joining you in captaining him. One thing to note. Their opponents (Brighton) have not conceded more than 2 goals all season, so if Salah does score, it’s likely he’ll only score 1. Food for thought!

3. Harry Kane (WAT)

Kane has been slightly disappointing this season, partially because everyone was so used to him scoring hat-tricks and braces every week last season! However, his goal tally did reach double figures this week, and it’s only GW14, so it’s saying something when 10 in 14 is considered ‘bad’! This week, Spurs play Watford, who struggle to keep clean sheets, especially to the big 6 teams, conceding 10 goals to the two Manchester clubs is evidence of this. However, Spurs have been in poor form, and Watford will be up for this game, as if they win, they’ll catch them in the league!

Differential – Dominic Calvert-Lewin (HUD)

I’m sticking my neck on the line for this one. Calvert-Lewin hasn’t got enough praise this season, specifically in the West Ham match. The 1st and 3rd goal all featured DCL and he was unlucky not to get any FPL Points, as Rooney missed the penalty. But, he was fantastic at winning aerial duals, made brilliant runs and proved how much of a threat he is. He’s scored once and assisted 4 times, which isn’t great, but he has a lot of potential to do well. As Huddersfield conceded 5 last week, DCL will certainly want to start, and can exploit that back four.

Gamble – Leroy Sane (WHU)

Every week I have to say this. City’s attackers are phenomenal, but it’s the player picks which prove the hardest task because Pep rotates them all. KDB scored and assisted last week, but was lucky to be credited the goal. Sane was unwell (hence why he’s a gamble) and Aguero/Jesus are rotated too often. Sterling was poor for the majority of the game but came up with a moment of magic at the end. If Sane starts, then a West Ham away match has to be perfect for him. They conceded 4 to an Everton side who had struggled to score all season, so if they can, Man City could absolutely kill West Ham this week.
