FPL Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 30 Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Gameweek 29 was a reasonably good week for the FPL Captaincy Analysis, with just Aguero blanking. Before we look at this week’s picks, here’s a breakdown of how last week’s picks did:

1. Harry Kane – 5 points
2. Mohamed Salah – 8 points
3. Romelu Lukaku – 8 points
Differential – Riyad Mahrez – 10 points
Gamble – Sergio Aguero – 2 points

Now onto this week’s picks…

1. Harry Kane (BOU)

Kane seems to be performing slightly worse than we’re used to seeing, and seems to be gaining a very little amount of points in the past few weeks, with his last double digits performance coming 6 weeks ago. He’s still scoring and assisting, but he’s missing out on the huge points haul, which is disappointing. Spurs take on Bournemouth this week, who have only kept 1 clean sheet since gameweek 14, so it’s likely that Spurs will score, but Kane certainly has to start improving his performances sooner rather than later.

2. Leroy Sane (STK)

It’s more of a question now of which Man City player will score the most points, because let’s be honest, they will always score! With Jesus back, it may diminish the minutes that Aguero has on the pitch unfortunately. Sane and De Bruyne seem to be the most nailed on players to start, hence why Sane is the number 2 choice, because he’s been magnificent since returning from injury. They take on Stoke this week and in the reverse fixture, Man City scored 7, which is a clear indicator of the difference in class the two teams have.

3. Mohamed Salah (MUN)

I feel like I say the same every week about Salah, because he just keeps on scoring! His ownership is also increasing with every passing performance, making him a more solid captaincy choice if you need to maintain your rank. After a rest in their midweek match against Porto, he’ll be fresh and raring to go against Man United, and Salah has proven that he is definitely a fixture proof player, and in this form, you have to back him!

Differential – Andre Ayew (HUD)

Bit of a surprising addition for this week’s captaincy picks, however I also felt that Ayew is a decent player, but just isn’t utilised in the right way. At Swansea, he could be. Last week, he assisted twice in his first start for Swansea since moving. In fact, when he starts, he seemingly has a decent record this season, scoring twice and assisting 3 times in the 5 times he is on the pitch for the first whistle, which isn’t a bad record. They play Huddersfield this week, and considering Swansea’s form since their appointment of Carvalhal, I fancy Swansea to win, and for Ayew to perform well.

Gamble – Eden Hazard (CRY)

Not often Hazard is a gamble, however, I’m not exactly sure what Conte was trying to do last week against City, because it was embarrassing. Hazard made about 3 sprints, lacked any interest, and had the fewest touches of the ball in the game. He is a fantastic player, but Conte has to change his tactics to improve Hazard’s performance, and I think he will. He’ll be desperate to try and get back into the top 4, and for him to silence the critics. Prior to the Man City performance, Hazard only blanked once since gameweek 22, showing us that Hazard has got the potential of providing huge point hauls, but it all depends on Conte’s game plan and tactics.
