FPL Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 8 Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

The international break is finally coming to an end and with that, Fantasy Premier League is back this weekend. Within this article, we will try and highlight the key men to stick your captain’s armband on, but before we do that, here’s how last gameweek’s Captaincy Analysis did:

1. Romelu Lukaku – 6 points
2. Harry Kane – 13 points
3. Phillipe Coutinho – 10 points
Differential – Oumar Niasse – 2 points
Gamble – Alvaro Morata 1 – point

Now onto this week’s picks…

1. Harry Kane (BOU)

With 6 goals in 4 games, you’d be a fool if you weren’t considering Kane for captaincy for this week. Despite not scoring at home as of yet, this run has to end, as Spurs welcome Bournemouth to Wembley this week, a team in the bottom 3 of the league. Kane scored in the midweek game for England, his confidence must be sky high, and we all know how good he actually is, so this one shouldn’t come as a surprise! One for those who want to maintain a high rank from a good start to the season!

2. Gabriel Jesus (STK)

With Aguero confirmed to be out of the game, it looks increasingly likely that Jesus will be starting on the weekend. A home game to Stoke is what greets City, a team who conceded 4 to Chelsea only a few weeks ago, and if Man City play like they did against Chelsea last gameweek, they should comfortably beat Stoke with Jesus surely getting on the scoresheet. He’s been in great form too, scoring 4 goals and assisting once from his last 4 games.

3. Alexis Sanchez (WAT)

With Sanchez coming back from injury, it was always going to be difficult for him to get going quickly and scoring straight away. However, he certainly had been involved in the goals, assisting twice in two Arsenal games, and he did score in Chile’s game against Ecuador too. With 24 goals last season, we all know how good he is! Could he kick start his goal scoring tally against Watford this week?

Differential – Eden Hazard (CRY)

Another player who hasn’t started the season well is Hazard. He came back from injury and Conte repeatedly said that he wasn’t fully ‘match-fit’. However, after multiple weeks of playing, he surely must be fit enough now to start and play the entirety of games, and with an away game to Crystal Palace coming up, he couldn’t have asked for an easier team to play if you consider Palace’s recent form! He’s only owned by 3.8% of FPL managers, but that could rise if he does well this week!

Gamble – Romelu Lukaku (LIV)

Lukaku has started this season where he left off from last season, scoring for fun literally every single week. He’s only blanked once but has scored 7 goals in his first 7 league games as a Man United player. However, he is a doubt for the game, after picking up an ankle injury while away on international duty. In addition, with United playing Liverpool, who always seem to play much better against the top teams, I wouldn’t doubt Liverpool straight away! Their defence may seem shaky but they always seemed to keep Lukaku quiet when he played for Everton!
