Gameweek 19 FPL Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

With Christmas around the corner & the 19th gameweek of the season upon us, we have nearly reached half way point of the season. This weekend offers an exciting Premier League fixture list, of which could bring some huge fantasy football points! Here’s our insight on how each fixture could pan out & a few players we think could give you a much needed boost in rank.

Arsenal vs Liverpool

Gameweek 19 kick starts with a friday night fixture, and what a fixture it is. We have 2 Premier League giants going head to head, with both sides in much need of the points to keep with the leading pack. With a point separating both sides, the managers will be looking to get the better of the other, so as to rise further up the table and keep the hopes of at least Champions League qualification.

STAR MAN: Mohamed Salah (10.0m)

He is the man of the Mo-ment!

PREDICTION: Arsenal 1-2 Liverpool

Everton vs Chelsea

Everton have been a completely changed side since the appointment of Big Sam, having scored 11 goals and conceded just 2 in the last 4 fixtures, being unbeaten along the way. This week is a real test for the Toffees as Conte & his boys travel to Goodison. Chelsea come into this game on the back of a solid performance against the Saints and progression to the league cup semis midweek. They will be looking to continue piling pressure on Jose’s United side.

STAR MAN: Wayne Rooney (7.6m)

With the form he’s in, the former England captain has what it takes to upset the Blues.

PREDICTION: Everton 2-1 Chelsea

Brighton vs Watford

Watford come into this game on the back of a thumping at the hands of Huddersfield and will be hoping to turn things around immediately. Brighton on the contrary are winless in the last 7 games and if they are to stay in this division, they ought to start winning such games.

STAR MAN: Richarlison (6.6m)

The Brazilian has delivered in 5 of the last 6 away games, and a trip to Brighton will be something he will be looking forward to.

PREDICTION: Brighton 0-2 Watford

Manchester City vs Bournemouth

The Citizens are at home and seem to be as hungry as ever. This week, Eddie Howe’s side travel to the Etihad and with Pep resting all his big guns in the Carabao Cup, we definitely can’t see the Cherries escaping the wrath of this ruthless City side.

STAR MAN: Raheem Sterling (8.5m)

11 goals & 3 assists in the initial 18 league games. He definitely falls in that must have category.

PREDICTION: Manchester City 4-0 Bournemouth

Southampton vs Huddersfield

The Terriers proved to be a surprise package last weekend, having run riot against the Hornets. The Saints on the contrary witnessed a frustrating afternoon with Conte’s Chelsea just edging them out at the Bridge. Southampton will be looking to get straight back to winning ways and with the home crowd behind them, they seem to be on course to do just that.

STAR MAN: Charlie Austin (6.2m)

The former QPR man has the ability to single handedly get the 3 points for his side.

PREDICTION: Southampton 3-1 Huddersfield

Stoke vs West Brom

Stoke City are now in deep trouble with just a single win in their last eight Premier League fixtures and they now find themselves just a point above the relegation zone. West Brom, their opponents this week, are in even deeper trouble, having won just two games so far this season. Both teams will be looking to change their form but Stoke will be hoping to make the most of the home advantage.

STAR MAN: Xherdan Shaqiri (6.2m)

Only man that has been playing well in this team has to step up and deliver now.

PREDICTION: Stoke 2-1 West Brom

Swansea vs Crystal Palace

Swansea have been absolutely dreadful throughout the season and as a result of that are now bottom of the table before Christmas. Palace on the other hand have jumped up to 14th place after a seven game unbeaten run. Swansea have won two of the three wins of their season at home and they will be looking to take the win here.

STAR MAN:Tammy Abraham (5.8m)

Hasn’t contributed with a goal in a while now and will surely want to make a difference here.

PREDICTION: Swansea 1-0 Crystal Palace

West Ham vs Newcastle

West Ham under David Moyes have looked impressive and have finally found form this season. Newcastle on the other hand have been poor in their last few games which has seen them drop into the relegation spots. The Toon are low in confidence after having not won a game since gameweek 10. The hammers will be looking to take advantage and three points against very poor opposition.

STAR MAN: Marko Arnautovic (6.8m)

With ownership less than a percent and form on his side, he looks set to take this game by storm.

PREDICTION: West Ham 2-0 Newcastle

Burnley vs Tottenham

Burnley have been so good this season and their defence have certainly been the highlight so far and the reason they find themselves a point above Spurs in 6th place. Although the men from London have a much more formidable attack and team sheet, the Clarets will not go down easily. Should be an amazing game of defensive football from the Clarets but you do feel like Spurs will find a way through.

STAR MAN: Harry Kane (12.8m)

Has 12 goals this season but certainly can do better for his calibre. Will be looking to net a goal in this must win game for Spurs.

PREDICTION: Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Leicester vs Manchester United

Leicester are also another club who have found their feet and are on the front foot these days. The Foxes though are now up against one of the hardest oppositions in the league and a goalkeeper who looks unbeatable at times. United will be looking to wrap this game up quickly and get another away victory in order to continue their pursuit of Manchester City.

STAR MAN:Paul Pogba (7.9m)

Should be back in action after his suspension and will look to get back to business for the Red Devils.

PREDICTION: Leicester 1-3 Manchester United
