Gameweek 36 FPL Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

The dreaded blank gameweek has come and gone and we now face the last 3 gameweeks of the season, including a massive double gameweek 37. Use those transfers and chips wisely!

Best of luck & may your arrows be green!

Liverpool vs Stoke

There is no stopping Klopp’s men; they thrashed Roma at home during the week and are now up against a Stoke side who have a very poor defence. Should be a walk in the park for Liverpool and another field day for their front three. This might be the day when Stoke finally do lose hope for survival.

STAR MAN: Mohamed Salah (10.6m)

The man of the moment, what a season he has had. Can anyone stop this lad?

PREDICTION: Liverpool 3-0 Stoke

Burnley vs Brighton

The Clarets played a well fought for draw against the Potters last week away from home and have already crossed the 50 point mark, something they would only have dreamt of at the start of the season. Brighton have not been so great away from home and might find it difficult to break down that solid Burnley defence.

STAR MAN: Chris Wood (6.4m)

Has been overshadowed by Barnes’ performances and will be looking to get back amongst the goals for his team.

PREDICTION: Burnley 2-0 Brighton

Crystal Palace vs Leicester

Palace have won two of their last five games and have managed to get out of that drop zone and six points. Leicester are decently placed in the top half of the table but have been undergoing a poor run of form. This is where the Eagles playing at home might be able to take advantage.

STAR MAN: Andros Townsend (5.6m)

Has been quiet in recent weeks but will be looking to make an impact this time around. He is always a threat with his pace and dribbling.

PREDICTION: Crystal Palace 2-1 Leicester

Huddersfield vs Everton

Huddersfield have been poor recently but somehow managed to seek out a win last weekend at home against Watford. They will be looking for a similar performance again in order to ensure survival in the Premier League. Everton have not been so great on their travels but with their unpredictable nature you never know what to expect out of the team.

STAR MAN: Wayne Rooney (7.1m)

Against a poor Huddersfield team he might well fancy his chances in front of goal.

PREDICTION: Huddersfield Town 0-2 Everton

Newcastle vs West Brom

Newcastle have been a treat to watch under Rafa Benitez in recent weeks and that recent rise to the top half of the table is commendable considering their poor start to the season. They are up against a West Brom side that are definitely looking at relegation this season and are just playing for pride.

STAR MAN: Islam Slimani (6.6m)

The striker has been short of goals and will eye up his chances against this poor Baggies defence that are playing away from home.

PREDICTION: Newcastle 3-1 West Brom

Southampton vs Bournemouth

The Cherries come into this game on the back of a home defeat against United but safety almost guaranteed for this season. The Saints on the contrary are in dire need of some points, as they languish in the relegation scrap. This fixture is surely a do or die for the Saints.

STAR MAN: Charlie Austin (5.8m)

He is the only man who can get the Saints Premier league football for next season.

PREDICTION: Southampton 2-1 Bournemouth

Swansea vs Chelsea

A great fixture away for the former champions against a Swansea side that suffered a 5-0 defeat last time out against Man City. If the Blues want to keep their Champions League hopes alive, they definitely can’t falter from now until the end of the season.

STAR MAN: Olivier Giroud (8.2m)

2 goals in the last 2 games and a double gameweek on the horizon. Worth a punt..!?

PREDICTION: Swansea 1-2 Chelsea

West Ham vs Manchester City

Even though Pep & his boys have secured the title, they are still chasing those all-time Premier League records of most points & most goals in a single season. Expect another rampant city performance.

STAR MAN: Gabriel Jesus (10.2m)

3 goals & 2 assists in the last 5 games, and a sure starter with Aguero out injured. What more do you want..!?

PREDICTION: West Ham 0-3 Manchester City

Manchester United vs Arsenal

Sunday ends with the game of the gameweek & the very last of the fierce Man Utd vs Arsenal games of the Wenger era. With this fixture lying in-between 2 of the most important games of Arsenal’s season (Europa League semi final legs vs Atletico Madrid), we can surely expect the Arsenal boss to shuffle the pack, which could surely give Jose’s Red Devils the upper hand.

STAR MAN: Alexis Sanchez (11.5m)

Robin van Persie v 2.0..!? His time to shine against his former club.

PREDICTION: Manchester United 2-0 Arsenal

Tottenham vs Watford

Spurs come into this game on the back of a disappointing away draw against the Seagulls and a loss on their home patch in the FA cup semi final against United. Spurs will definitely be coming into this fixture looking for nothing less than a win, with the fight for Champions League places still on.

STAR MAN: Harry Kane (12.9m)

Kane is bound to put away a few in this match (or at least be credited with a few 😉 )

PREDICTION: Tottenham 4-0 Watford
