Captaincy Analysis – FPL Gameweek 20 Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

It was a great boxing day for the Captaincy Analysis, as our picks provided an average of 10 points per player, with only De Bruyne letting the picks down with a blank. Here’s a summary of last week’s selections:

1. Mohamed Salah – 12 points
2. Harry Kane – 6 points
3. Paul Pogba – 15 points
Differential – Kevin De Bruyne – 2 points
Gamble – Eden Hazard – 15 points

Now onto this week’s selections:

1. Harry Kane (WOL)

No surprises to see who number one is this week! Spurs have scored 11 goals in the last 2 games, with Kane being involved in 4 of them. Spurs take on Wolves who have been a weird club to predict, as they seemingly play much better against the “Big Teams”. However, with Spurs playing magnificently well against both Everton and Bournemouth, you’ve surely got to consider Kane for captaincy this week. He’s owned by 44% too, so to maintain a good ranking, you may have to captain him!

2. Paul Pogba (BOU)

Would anyone believe me when I say “Maybe Pogba was performing bad, on purpose”?! Since Mourinho was sacked, Pogba has scored 2 goals and assisted twice, so either Solskjaer is a magician, or Pogba was using ‘player power’ to his advantage. Don’t forget, this man was £100m. He’s a quality player and at such a cheap price, and the fact only 5% of FPL managers own him, it’s definitely one to consider. Man United take on a Bournemouth side who conceded 5 goals to Spurs a few days ago, so Pogba could well be a decent option to consider.

3. Richarlison (BOU)

He needed a rest, and it seemed that plenty of Everton players couldn’t cope with the festive period. They followed up a 6-2 thrashing with a 5-1 away win against Burnley. Its a strange old game, isn’t it!? Richarlison was rested and should start in their match against Brighton, and if they continue with how they left off against Burnley, this could be a decent week for Richarlison!

Differential – Kevin De Bruyne (SOU)

Despite a blank last week, I’m sticking with KdB as the differential option. There’s no denying how good he is, and Man City really need to get out of this rotten patch, otherwise, they could exit the title race and how many people thought that would happen at the start of the season?! He’s only owned by 4.2% of FPL managers and he’s the man who can get them out of this mess. He’s only played 150 minutes of football this season and if he can back to his form of last season, then he’s a bargain at £9.6m.

Gamble – Mohamed Salah (ARS)

Being honest, I did think Salah would be rested last week against Newcastle, mainly because of this game coming up against Arsenal. They’ve been in decent form all season, with only one loss in about 4 months of football, an impressive record! He scored and assisted against Newcastle, but I’m certain that one of these weeks surely will see him start on the bench, so keep an eye out on that.
