Captaincy Analysis – FPL Gameweek 33 Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Our biggest double gameweek has come and gone and we’re now onto FA cup semi-final week which means a blank week for a number of teams in the Premier League. Before we consider this week’s options, here is how last week’s picks did:

1. Sergio Aguero – 10 points
2.
Eden Hazard – 15 points
3. Harry Kane – 4 points
Differential –  Gerard Deulofeu – 3 points
Gamble – Alexandre Lacazette – 7 points

Now onto this week’s selections:

Number One – Eden Hazard

Did we all panic when we saw that Hazard didn’t start the first game!? He made up for it by scoring and assisting in he second game luckily, scoring one of the highest points in the DGW, and with Aguero injured, he was by far the best player to captain last week. This week, plenty of big game players are blanking due to their involvement in the FA Cup, however Hazard is not one of them, starting in the Monday night game against West Ham, who were absolutely woeful against Everton last week, and if they play like that again, I can see Hazard blowing the hammers away, because they could have conceded 5 or 6 to Everton last week if they were more clinical!

Number Two – Richarlison

Call me crazy, and I probably am, but with so many players out this week, Richarlison is the second best player to captain I think! Everton have been in really good form and are usually a lot better at home, and despite taking on Arsenal, I can see Richarlison having a good game. He’s scored 2 in the last 3, but he really could have had more in the last few games, as he hit the cross bar against West Ham, and was denied a coup,e of times by some splendid saves from Fabianski.

Differential – Youri Tielemans

I’m really surprised with how quickly Tieliemans has adapted to the Premier League. He’s got huge potential, as he is still only relatively young, but with 1 goal and 4 assists in the last 5 games, he’s definitely one to keep an eye on for captaincy. Leicester take on an already relegated Huddersfield side, and with an ownership of only 1%, he really is a brilliant differential to choose from in a gameweek where many top players are blanking!

Gamble – Mo Salah

One goal and one assist in 8 games for a player priced at over 13m is really disappointing. He’s one of the league’s top scorers somehow, but the form he’s in is absolutely shocking. He’s one of the very few top players who actually play this week, against Southampton in the Friday night game, and this is a huge gamble considering how poorly Salah has been playing recently. He could always explode in a single gameweek, like we seen against Bournemouth, we know what he is capable of, but for this week, I’d advise going for someone like Hazard, who’s in much better form.
