Differential Picks – FPL Gameweek 13 Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

After what has felt like decades, the international break is at an end. Now the focus of fantasy managers can return to FPL itself and the debates over xG might finally subside. With high-profile fantasy assets such as Benjamin Mendy, the Wolves wingbacks and others picking up bumps and bruises, there is likely to be a scramble for replacements. Additionally, the break may have paved the way for interesting differentials in other areas.

LEROY SANE – £9.2m – TSB: 4.5% – West Ham United (A)

One such differential is Manchester City winger Leroy Sane. A regular victim of Pep roulette, Sane is in fewer FPL squads than the defensive-minded Fernandinho. However, with left-back Mendy injured, Sane’s points potential looks on the up. Previously, manager Pep Guardiola has opted to use Sane when Mendy is unavailable to provide width on the left side, suggesting the German will get the minutes he deserves in the coming weeks. Coming off a great international break, where he scored twice and was voted man of the match by fans in both games, Sane is starting to hit top form. He has also returned in every game he has started this season, picking up 3 goals and 4 assists in just four starts.

MICHAEL KEANE – £4.9m – TSB: 2.7% – Cardiff (H)

The Everton defence has been a hotly discussed topic over the past couple of weeks, with the majority of talk surrounding left-back Lucas Digne. Though a great option, presiding over a share of set-pieces and boasting a high creativity ranking, there is an argument that Michael Keane is the man to go for instead. Keane has scored once and assisted twice already this season and is by far the highest scorer of baseline bonus points of all Everton defenders. With three home fixtures in the next four, beginning with goal-shy Cardiff this weekend, Keane offers great potential at both ends of the pitch. Everton assets could be great differentials as we move into this busy period.

RUBEN VINAGRE – £4.3m – TSB: 0.1% – Huddersfield (H)

When posing the question of Vinagre’s potential on Twitter, the first answer received was that he’s good on chips. Clearly Vinagre is not a well-known entity to the majority of fantasy managers, but after a bit of digging it appears he could be a decent punt over the next few weeks. With left wing-back Jonny Otto supposedly out for six weeks, Vinagre should take his place in an attacking role for a solid outfit. He has played both League Cup fixtures this season and has been brought on for Otto on three of the four occasions the Spaniard was substituted in the league this season. Wolves face off against Huddersfield and Cardiff in two very winnable games with both attacking and defensive returns possible.

IVAN CAVALEIRO – £5.2m – TSB: 0.1% – Huddersfield (H)

Another Wolves asset with the potential to benefit from their nice fixture schedule is Ivan Cavaleiro. Prior to the season’s start, the Wolves midfielder everyone had their eyes on was Diogo Jota, who duly rewarded the faith with one measly assist up to now. Despite not getting league minutes until gameweek seven, and only two starts, Cavaleiro has bagged 2 goals already, scoring last week at Arsenal and collecting 3 bonus points. Cavaleiro directly contributed to 21 goals in the Championship last season and looks an exciting budget prospect as he picks up more minutes.

SALOMON RONDON – £5.7m – TSB: 0.9% – Burnley (A)

In yet another pick owned by almost no-one, budget forward Salomon Rondon could have forced himself onto many watchlists with a brilliant two goal performance in Newcastle’s gameweek 12 victory over Bournemouth. Rondon has been inconsistent as a fantasy asset in previous years, partly due to playing in a struggling West Bromwich Albion side and it could be argued the team he’s in now isn’t much of an upgrade. However, with Matt Ritchie and Kenedy capable of playing to Rondon’s strengths with crosses into the box, the Venezuelan could be beginning a purple patch ahead of some fantastic fixtures, starting with a defensively suspect Burnley.

Good luck everyone.
