Differential Picks – FPL Gameweek 20 & 21 Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

It was another successful outing for the differential picks in Gameweek 19, with Son and Christian Eriksen picking up double-figure hauls, and Jesse Lingard grabbing an assist in United’s victory over Huddersfield. With the games coming thick and fast, here are five players who have plenty of potential ahead of both Gameweeks 20 and 21:

GERARD DEULOFEU – £5.4m – TSB: 1.4% – Newcastle (H), Bournemouth (A)

Gerard Deulofeu’s return to the starting XI three Gameweeks ago has been a blessing for Watford, with the Spaniard netting twice and assisting once over this period. In comparison to his more expensive team mate Roberto Pereyra, Deulofeu has had more penalty box touches and big chances created despite 135 fewer minutes. Watford first face Newcastle, who have lost three of their last four away fixtures and are coming off a heavy defeat at Liverpool. Just days later, they take on a Bournemouth side who just lost 5-0 to Spurs and will face a resurgent Manchester United team in Gameweek 20. Watford attackers could benefit from likely demoralised defences.

GYLFI SIGURDSSON – £7.3m – TSB: 6.5% – Brighton (A), Leicester (H)

A mid-priced midfield differential ahead of the upcoming fixtures is Gylfi Sigurdsson of Everton. The Icelandic international has generally been overlooked ahead of the slightly cheaper Richarlison, but there’s every indication Sigurdsson can pick up plenty of points over the next few games. Sigurdsson followed up a great goal against Spurs with a double-digit haul in Everton’s thrashing of Burnley. Everton are in good attacking form and face a Brighton side without a clean sheet in their last nine Gameweeks this weekend before a winnable game at home to Leicester City.

DOMINIC CALVERT-LEWIN – £5.3m – TSB: 1.4% – Brighton (A), Leicester (H)

Following on from the Sigurdsson pick, another Everton asset in form at the moment is Dominic Calvert-Lewin. ‘DCL’ has started the last three Premier League games for the Toffees and returned a goal or assist in each of them. He is certainly a rotation risk but at a budget price and in good form, it might be the time to jump on the youngster ahead of Everton’s good run of fixtures.

LUKE SHAW – £4.9m – TSB: 5.8% – Bournemouth (H), Newcastle (A)

Since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took the reins at Manchester United prior to the Cardiff City game, the Red Devils have looked a completely different outfit. Though they haven’t managed to keep a clean sheet against either Cardiff or Huddersfield, they have looked much improved ahead of another couple of good fixtures against sides they have already defeated this season. Luke Shaw began the season with a goal and assist in his first two appearances but has been in and out of the side due to injury since and not benefitted from United’s poor form under Jose Mourinho. If Shaw nails down the left-back spot under his new manager, he could be a steal at a budget price.

JAMIE VARDY – £8.8m – TSB: 4.1% – Cardiff (H), Everton (A)

Jamie Vardy feels like a forgotten man in recent weeks. With premium assets Harry Kane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang highly-owned, and budget forwards such as Raul Jimenez and Danny Ings making their presence known, Vardy has gone under the radar. Vardy has 3 goals and an assist in his last five appearances and faces a Cardiff side who conceded 8 goals in 2 games prior to a rather fortunate draw at Palace last time out. Additionally, Everton have not kept a clean sheet in their last six games and will travel to a Leicester side extremely confident in attack after beating both Chelsea and Manchester City back to back.
