Fantasy Footall Potential – Richarlison

Everton have made the signing of Watford winger Richarlison for an extortionate fee that could eventually reach £50 million. Manager Marco Silva worked with Richarlison at Watford and whilst he was there the Brazilian flourished.

For Brazil he is yet to make a senior appearance, but has featured 10 times for their u20 side, scoring on three occasions. His one individual honour to date is making it in the Campeonao Carioca team of the year, which is Brazil’s equivalent of the League Cup. He was playing for Fluminese at the time where he played 42 Série A games scoring nine goals.

Richarlison told evertontv:

“I want to have a lot of success with Everton. I think it is going to be important for me here to be with Marco Silva again. I will learn more because I am still learning as a player and I aim to develop and grow here.”

Fantasy Premier League Potential (6.5m)

The price Everton have paid for Richarlison may be higher than expected to say the least, but his FPL price makes him a very intriguing option. Everton do have a few wingers on their books but with the money they have spent on Richarlison, he has to one of the first names on the team sheet. His price of £6.5m could become a bargain if he can rediscover the form that he had under Silva at Watford.

Last season, from gameweek 1-24 he scored 103 points, but then Silva was sacked and Javi Gracia was placed at the helm. For the rest of the season he scored just a further 22 points which highlights how important Silva must be for how well Richarlison performs. A high amount of FPL managers have already jumped on the bandwagon with 8.2% selecting him.

Everton’s first five fixtures are as follows: Wolves (A), Southampton (H), Bournemouth (A), Huddersfield (H) and West Ham (H). Everton could not have asked for an easier beginning to their season and Richarlison could be a must own player for these matches.
