Fantasy Premier League Preview – Gameweek 15 – FPL Tips

Gameweek 15 is here after am enthralling end to the previous gameweek. With less time to prepare we hope this helps you managers to make your decisions as to who you want in your squad for this round.

Bournemouth vs Huddersfield

Huddersfield Town gained their first away win since February when beating Wolves recently and will try to repeat that success against a Bournemouth side who do score goals at home. Only once in their last 11 matches at the Vitality Stadium have Bournemouth failed to find the net, but at least they kept a clean sheet that time against south coast rivals Southampton. The Cherries have lost the latest two games on their own pitch, 2-1 to both Manchester United and Arsenal, but this is a much less severe test and previously they had been generally reliable in front of the home crowd this season.

STAR MAN: Callum Wilson (6.8m)

Was on the scoresheet against the terrific City defence and this will be seen as an opportunity by him to get on the scoresheet again.

PREDICTION: Bournemouth 2-0 Huddersfield

Brighton vs Crystal Palace

Tottenham are the only visiting team to have won at Brighton in the league since March, but Crystal Palace’s away results this term should give them cause for optimism here as they have enjoyed four league and cup successes on the road. The Eagles have been making life difficult for whoever hosts them of late, performing particularly well at Old Trafford where they were arguably unlucky not to win rather than draw 0-0, so they are expected to snatch a narrow victory.

STAR MAN: Wilfried Zaha (6.7m)

Hit the woodwork in the last match and will be looking to put one in the net this gameweek to prove his worth.

PREDICTION: Crystal Palace 1-0 Brighton

West Ham vs Cardiff

Cardiff City have a poor away record since being promoted to the Premier League last season and it looks unlikely to get any better when they visit West Ham. West Ham, meanwhile, have been hit and miss at home. They were excellent against Manchester United, had another decisive win against Burnley and held Chelsea to a draw but have also suffered some bad defeats. Despite this, we expect a West Ham win.

STAR MAN: Marko Arnautovic (7.1m)

He’s been a player West Ham have depended on and he has so often produced the goods. He missed out on getting on the scoresheet last match and will be looking to make amends for that.

PREDICTION: West Ham 2-0 Cardiff

Watford vs Manchester City

City have remarkably conceded only a solitary away Premier League goal this season. It’s been all or nothing for the Hornets at home this term with no draws, four wins, including a 2-1 win over Tottenham, and three defeats, the latest of which was 3-0 against Liverpool after they had held firm for the opening three-quarters of the match. This again looks like a comfortable victory on the road for Guardiola’s men.

STAR MAN: David Silva (8.7m)

After coming on in the last game as a sub, the Spaniard changed the flow of the game and was instrumental in City earning the three points.

PREDICTION: Manchester City 2-0 Watford

Burnley vs Liverpool

Sean Dyche’s men should certainly be up for this test and after Liverpool took until the 67th minute to break through against Watford away from home recently, they may not find it easy here either. It could take until the second half for the title contenders to show their quality. Liverpool were lucky to have won the Merseyside Derby after a ridiculous last minute goal from Origi.

STAR MAN: Roberto Firmino (9.2m)

He has the ability to navigate well through defences and his ability will surely be needed in this fixture where Burnley will definitely not provide any opportunities for the liverpool attackers.

PREDICTION: Burnley 1-2 Liverpool

Everton vs Newcastle

The Toffees come into this game on the back of a 96th minute defeat against their arch nemesis Liverpool. They will indeed be looking to turn things around, and a home game against the Toon couldn’t be a better one to ask for.

STAR MAN: Richarlison (7.0m)

Playing up-front, the Brazilian will be looking to get back on the score sheet after a 3 game barren run.

PREDICTION: Everton 2-0 Newcastle

Fulham vs Leicester

Fulham have been nothing but shambolic this season, having had just 1 win in the last 11 games. A great opportunity to sneak in an away win.

STAR MAN: Jamie Vardy (8.9m)

With the festive period around the corner, it’s time Vardy goes on a roll.

PREDICTION: Fulham 1-2 Leicester

Wolves vs Chelsea

The Blues have time and time again shown what a force they have become under new boss Sarri and an out of sorts Wolves side doesn’t seem like one that’ll be stopping them.

STAR MAN: Eden Hazard (11.0m)

If he’s in the mood, there is no one stopping him.

PREDICTION: Wolves 0-2 Chelsea

Manchester United vs Arsenal

Here we have at hand, undoubtedly the game of the gameweek with 2 arch rivals going head to head. Arsenal come into this game on the back of a 19 game unbeaten run, but with Jose in the opposite dugout, we can surely expect this to end sooner rather than later. A United win seems to be on cards.

STAR MAN: Romelu Lukaku (10.7m)

It’s time Big Rom builds on his goal last time out, and goes on a scoring spree.

PREDICTION: Manchester United 2-1 Arsenal

Tottenham vs Southampton

Spurs come into this fixture on the back of a humiliating defeat in the North London Derby. The Saints on the contrary will also be disappointed having not got the 3 points even after leading against the Red Devils by 2 goals to the good. Both these sides are in dire need of a positive result but with the firepower Spurs possess, they might just edge this one.

STAR MAN: Harry Kane (12.4m)

With the fixtures turning for the good, it might be time to bring the England captain into your sides.

PREDICTION: Tottenham 3-1 Southampton
