Fantasy Premier League Preview – Gameweek 24 – FPL Tips

The race for the higher ranks has begun and it’s time to make your every decision count. Though, keep in mind the upcoming double gameweek 25.

Good luck & may your arrows be green! Here is the Gameweek 24 Preview:

Arsenal vs Cardiff

After suffering a 3-1 loss to Man Utd in the FA Cup, Arsenal will be looking to get back on course when they welcome Cardiff City to the Emirates in gameweek 24. The Gunners did well to beat their local rivals Chelsea in their last league fixture, but they still need more to reach the Champions League spots. Arsenal have been impressive at the Emirates this term and you should bear in mind that they are eyeing their sixth consecutive victory on home soil. The Bluebirds, on the other hand, failed to score in their previous three league fixtures, therefore we do not believe that they are capable of shocking Unai Emery’s troops in London. This game will be very emotional for Cardiff City players and fans as the tragic search and rescue for summer signing Emiliano Sala continues.

STAR MAN: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (11.3m)

The onus to deliver is on the shoulders of their talisman.

PREDICTION: Arsenal 3-1 Cardiff

Fulham vs Brighton

Despite producing a fine display against Tottenham in their last league match, Fulham were eventually beaten by their local rivals at Craven Cottage. The Cottagers continue to struggle in the 2018/2019 Premier League campaign and they are seven points off the safe zone ahead of the visit of Brighton. The capital club are desperate to get back on course and we predict that they are going to leave their hearts on the field in Tuesday’s match against Brighton. The Seagulls, on the other hand, faced a tough fixture list in January, with the team taking on Liverpool and Manchester United in previous their two league games. Brighton aim to make amends for back-to-back defeats and seeing as Claudio Ranieri’s side have been struggling to find their form, we are tempted to put our money on a draw. The two teams shared the spoils in the first half of the season.

STAR MAN: Aleksandar Mitrovic (6.5m)

He’ll need to be firing if Fulham are to stand a chance of staying up.

PREDICTION: Fulham 1-1 Brighton

Huddersfield vs Everton

The John Smith’s Stadium will host Tuesday’s game between Huddersfield Town and Everton. The Terriers have been totally out of form of late, with the team failing to score in their previous three games in all competitions. The rock-bottom side are low on confidence ahead of the visit of Everton and we do not believe that they are capable of grabbing something from the midweek fixture. The Toffees, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a shocking 3-2 loss to Millwall in the FA Cup. Marco Silva’s men want to move a little closer to the Europa League places and we predict that they are going to adopt an attack-minded approach in Tuesday’s clash. Seeing as the Terriers do not seem to be on top of their game at the moment, we believe that there is big value in betting on Richarlison and co.

STAR MAN: Lucas Digne (5.3m)

The attacking full back might have a word to say in this one.

PREDICTION: Huddersfield 0-2 Everton

Wolves vs West Ham

West Ham United will be looking to bounce back from an embarrassing 4-2 loss to AFC Wimbledon when they take on Wolverhampton at the Molineux. The Hammers experienced all sorts of problems at the back in the FA Cup defeat, but it has to be noted that coach Manuel Pellegrini mixed the squad up against the League One side. Key player Felipe Anderson is likely to return to the starting line-up and we believe that he is going to pose a big threat for the opposition defenders. Wolverhampton, on the other hand, recorded a thrilling 4-3 win over Leicester City in their last league match, but they do not want to stop now. Wolves aim to move a little closer to the Europa League spots and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play. Given West Ham’s attacking potential, a both teams to score bet should be considered.

STAR MAN: Raul Jimenez (6.5m)

He has all the potential to trouble and break down that shaky Hammers defence.

PREDICTION: Wolves 2-1 West Ham

Manchester United vs Burnley

High-flying Manchester United will be looking to build on the FA Cup triumph over Arsenal when they host Burnley at Old Trafford. The Red Devils look unstoppable under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and it is no surprise they are considered hot favourites to win Tuesday’s game. Man Utd are eyeing their seventh consecutive win in the Premier League and seeing as the Clarets experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 5-0 loss to Man City at the weekend, we are tempted to put our money on the English giants. In the previous two meetings between the two teams, the Red Devils emerged triumphant, which is yet another reason why the home win should be considered.

STAR MAN: Marcus Rashford (7.7m)

A man to watch in the home team will be Marcus Rashford, who seems to be in the form of his life.

PREDICTION: Manchester United 2-0 Burnley

Newcastle vs Manchester City

Newcastle United and Manchester City face each other at St. James’ Park in what is expected to be one of the most entertaining games of Tuesday’s fixture list. Newcastle United desperately needed a win against Cardiff City and they managed to get one. The Magpies outplayed the fellow relegation-threatened side 3-0 in front of home fans, but they suffered elimination in the FA Cup at the weekend following a 2-0 loss to Watford. The Citizens on the other hand are eager to reduce Liverpool’s advantage in the Premier League standings and we predict that they are going to fight tooth and nail for the result. Pep Guardiola’s troops have been scoring goals for fun of late and we are positive that they are going to extend their winning run in all competitions to nine games. Aguero is likely to lead the line for the visitors after coming on as a substitute for Gabriel Jesus in a 5-0 FA Cup win over Burnley.

STAR MAN: Sergio Aguero (11.3m)

He is almost certain to start, having been benched for the midweek fixture.

PREDICTION: Newcastle 1-3 Manchester City

Bournemouth vs Chelsea

All eyes will be on the Vitality Stadium when Bournemouth and Chelsea face each other on Matchday 24. Bournemouth did well to beat West Ham in their last league match, with the team putting an end to their four-game winless run in the top flight. The Cherries sit in 12th, meaning that they are safe for now. Eddie Howe’s men are tough to beat at home and we believe that they are capable of upsetting the capital club. The Blues suffered a 2-0 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates in their last league match and seeing as they produce much better displays at home than on their travels, we believe that there is big value in betting on a draw. It has to be noted that under 2.5 goals have been netted in the previous two meetings between the two teams.

STAR MAN: Eden Hazard (11.0m)

Could possibly thrive with the presence of Higuain up-front.

PREDICTION: Bournemouth 0-2 Chelsea

Southampton vs Crystal Palace

Southampton and Crystal Palace, two teams that are level on points in the Premier League standings. Both sides sit 3 points above the relegation zone, meaning that this could be a classic relegation six-pointer. The Saints have been showing signs of improvement of late, with the team recording back-to-back wins over Leicester City and Everton in their previous two league fixtures, but Wednesday’s match will be anything but a walk in the park for the hosts. The Eagles, on the other hand, have suffered three defeats in their previous four league fixtures and seeing as they are not regarded as good travellers, we believe that the hosts have more of a shot of picking up all three points from the match than the visitors.

STAR MAN: Danny Ings (5.5m)

With seven goals in the Premier League so far this term, he is one to watch out for.

PREDICTION: Southampton 2-1 Crystal Palace

Liverpool vs Leicester

Liverpool will be aiming to retain their lead at the top of the Premier League with a win over Leicester City at Anfield. The Reds quickly bounced back from a heartbreaking loss to Man City at the Etihad and they are now eyeing their third consecutive win in the English top flight. Jurgen Klopp’s troops have been impressive in front of home fans this season, but the Foxes should not be underestimated. As always, a man to watch in the home team will be Mohamed Salah, who has netted 16 goals in the Premier League so far this term. The Foxes, on the other hand, are stuck in the middle of the standings and we believe that they won’t be stopping the league leaders from giving their fans yet another reason for celebration on Wednesday evening.

STAR MAN: Mo Salah (13.6m)

Can anyone stop the Egyptian this season!?

PREDICTION: Liverpool 3-0 Leicester

Tottenham vs Watford

Thanks to a hard-fought 2-1 win at Fulham, Tottenham cemented third position in the Premier League standings. Spurs are without key players Harry Kane and Dele Alli, who remain in the treatment room and there is every chance Fernando Llorente will lead the line for the hosts against Watford. The capital club suffered back-to-back losses to the likes of Wolverhampton and Manchester United in their previous two home games, but they are still considered favourites to win Wednesday’s match against Watford. The Hornets, on the other hand, have recorded only one win in their previous five league fixtures and despite the fact that the hosts head into the midweek clash with a severely-weakened squad, we are tempted to put our money on the hosts.

STAR MAN: Heung min Son (8.6m)

The man you want in times of need.

PREDICTION: Tottenham 2-1 Watford
