Fantasy Premier League Preview – Gameweek 31 – FPL Tips

Another blank gameweek, with 10 sides missing out this time. This will be the real test of everyone’s squad depths.

Good Luck & May your Arrows be Green!

Bournemouth vs Newcastle

Bournemouth and Newcastle face each other at Vitallity Stadium in what is expected to be a very interesting game. The Cherries aim to build on a 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town and they are considered favourites to win Saturday’s football match. Callum Wilson has overcome his injury and the English attacker, who scored in the 2-0 victory over the Terriers is likely to make life difficult for the opposition back-line. The Magpies, on the other hand, proved their worth in a come-from-behind win over Everton and thanks to the triumph they moved one step closer to securing yet another Premier League survival. Bournemouth and Newcastle are almost level on points in the standings ahead of Matchday 31 and we predict that they are going to share the spoils at Vitality Stadium. In their last meeting in Bournemouth the two teams played out a thrilling 2-2 draw.

STAR MAN: Callum Wilson (6.4m)

Just back from injury, he will be looking to make his mark.

PREDICTION: Bournemouth 2-2 Newcastle

Burnley vs Leicester

Leicester will be aiming to build on a 3-1 win over Fulham when they take on Burnley at Turf Moor on Matchday 32. The Foxes proved their worth in the triumph over the Cottagers, with Jamie Vardy scoring a brace and they now want to retain their spot in top ten. Burnley, on the other hand, are fighting hard to avoid relegation to the Championship, meaning that Saturday’s football match is of big importance for the hosts. The Clarets want this win more than the Foxes and seeing that Brendan Rodgers’ men are not regarded as good travelers, home win should be considered. Burnley suffered a 3-1 loss to Crystal Palace in their last home game in the national championship, but you should bear in mind that they recorded three wins in previous five home fixtures. When the two teams met at Turf Moor last term Burnley defeated Leicester City 2-1.

STAR MAN: Jamie Vardy (9.0m)

Bang on form. He is one among the captain picks.

PREDICTION: Burnley 1-3 Leicester

West Ham vs Huddersfield

London Stadium will host Saturday’s game between West Ham and Huddersfield. West Ham are eyeing their third consecutive home win in the Premier League, but it has to be noted that they were beaten by relegation strugglers Cardiff 2-0 in their last league fixtures. Marko Arnautovic is likely to return to the starting line-up and seeing that the Terriers are low on confidence ahead of the trip to London, home win should be considered. Huddersfield are stuck at the bottom of the standings, with the team suffering a 2-0 loss to Bournemouth at the weekend and, taking everything into account, the visitors are likely to return home empty-handed. You should bear in mind that the Hammers emerged triumphant in three of their last four meetings with the Terriers in the English top flight. Felipe Anderson will be yet another man to watch in the home team

STAR MAN: Marko Arnautovic (6.8m)

Back in the side, he will look to make him feel wanted.

PREDICTION: West Ham 2-0 Huddersfield

Fulham vs Liverpool

Sunday’s football game at Craven Cottage pits together Fulham and Liverpool, two teams who have different ambitions in the second half of the season. The Cottagers aim to secure the Premier League survival, but that is easier said than done as they are more than 10 points behind the safe zone in the standings. The Cottagers are on a six-game losing run in the English top flight and we do not believe that they are capable of upsetting the title-chasing side. The Reds are determined to win their first Premier League trophy since 1990 and we are positive that they will go all guns blazing at the capital club on Matchday 31. Mohamed Salah is eager to add more goals to his goal-scoring account and we believe that the Egypt international is going to pose a big threat for the opposition defenders in Sunday’s showdown.

STAR MAN: Mohamed Salah (13.4m)

If his dull form continues, he will be soon out of the race of Top Scorer. He NEEDS TO deliver.

PREDICTION: Fulham 1-3 Liverpool

Everton vs Chelsea

All eyes will be on Goodison Park when Everton and Chelsea face each other on Matchday 31. The Toffees aim to bounce back from a heart-breaking loss to Newcastle where they dropped a two-goal advantage, but they are considered underdogs in Sunday’s fixture. The Blues, on the other hand, aim to stay in the race for a place in the Champions League and we predict that they will go all guns blazing at the Toffees. January signing Gonzalo Higuain is likely to lead the line for the visitors against Everton, but a man to watch in the away team will be Eden Hazard. In previous two meetings between the two teams in the Premier League no goals were scored, but we are tempted to put our money on the visitors this time out as they want this win more than the hosts.

STAR MAN: Gonzalo Higuain (9.6m)

His aerial presence will be much needed in this one.

PREDICTION: Everton 1-2 Chelsea
