FPL Updates Gameweek 24 – Fantasy Premier League Tips

The streak of green arrows came to an end this gameweek with a 3k red arrow but we’re still sitting pretty inside the top 30k. Major surgery was taken removing 3 players for a hit. However, one of our signings picked up an injury straight of the bat in Dele Alli. All 3 signings either scored or assisted, so in the short term it paid off but there’s still plenty of issues in the side.

The FA cup gave managers a nice break to whet their appetite for the midweek fixtures and cup games mean blank and double gameweeks. The announcement of a double gameweek next week changed my plans drastically as we currently own 0 Man City players. 2 Everton players is enough as I wouldn’t be looking to buy any if I owned none. Down the line we’ll be looking to move these on as they blank in GW27.

The backline wasn’t a pleasant site with not one keeping a clean sheet. Speroni got a rare start and had 2 howlers which helped Salah to a brace. Digne scored in his own net for a -1 pointer, while Doherty was benched and came on for a cameo. Robertson was the only one to return with his 6th assist of the season along with a bonus point.

Hazard and Richarlison both blanked and are really testing my patience. Their fixtures (and limited transfers) are the only thing keeping them in the side. Pogba and Alli both scored but unfortunately the latter is out until March. Skipper Salah braced for yet another double digit haul. His 30 pointer was crucial and it’s scary not to captain him.

Rashford scored and scooped all bonus points in his first game for the side. At his price he seems like one of the bargains of the season. Deeney blanked at home to Burnley but he was unlucky not to get something.

Transfers: Alli is replaced by Sterling due to his hamstring injury. Sterling is in for his upcoming DGW with the potential to captain him for his two games next week. He’s been rested in both cup games which is good for the coming weeks.

I’m hopeful one of Guaita and Speroni start as I don’t feel it’s worth a hit with so much uncertainty around. Backline is unchanged from last gameweek. Doherty should hopefully regain his place in the side after scoring in the cup. Digne travels to Huddersfield who have a new manager and Robertson is well rested for Leicester at home.

There’s a number of players who’ve got a limited amount of time to prove their place in the side and Richarlison is one of them. He faces Huddersfield and scored against Millwall in the cup. For the faith I’ve given him I’m expecting some returns at least in next weeks 2 gameweeks. Hazard travels to Bournemouth where you expect him to score. Hopefully new signing Higuain can help him out. Pogba and Salah both have plum home ties against Burnley and Leicester. Sterling travels to Newcastle and with any of their assets you expect them return when they start.

The Man United attacking double looks great value for the foreseeable future. Burnley may park the bus but I doubt it will be enough to stop Ole’s men. Deeney gets another week in the team up against an out of form and injury filled Tottenham team. I was very tempted to sell him for Firmino until the double gameweek was announced.

Captain: The reliable Mo Salah. Leicester conceded 4 goals against Wolves and looked ragged at the back. Salah’s bagged 6 double digit hauls in his last 8 games which is unfathomable.
