FPL Updates Gameweek 37 – Fantasy Premier League Tips

What a week! Like buses we’ve waited an age for 100 points and now two have come in consecutive gameweeks. It was a mega week with a whopping 139 (-4)! The side had a gameweek rank of 1,459, the highest I can remember having in my FPL career. The final chip in our armoury was deployed, the triple captain and the jackpot was hit giving it to the highest scorer of the week, Mo Salah.

The bumper score has sent us teetering on the edge of the top 10k. A rise of over 18k has seen the side reach 10,376 with two gameweeks to maintain and hopefully break into the top 10k.

Ryan conceded the only shot on target of the game for his 2. Doherty blanked after a Gray goal. Laporte and TAA have continued their DGW form with a 9 pointer and 10 pointer respectively. Laporte cleaned up with all BPS in a win, while TAA assisted and nicked a single bonus point.

Son is the last player to blank and I was surprised to see him unable to break the West Ham defence. Spurs looked lost for ideas and the performance justified why Eriksen was sold. Jota returned a dozen after scoring and assisting. The portuguese forward has been a gem on wildcard. Mane and Salah stole the show this week. A brace for Mane, which should have been a hat-trick after he hit the post with an easy header. Salah also braced but picked up an assist and stole all 3 bonus for 19 points. Triple that score and its 57 points! That score would have outscored 14 of our previous gameweeks.

Initially Wilson didn’t pay off, but like when I owned King he came good the second week. A brace, an assist and 3 bonus totalled 16 points for Wilson against Southampton. He should’ve had a hat-trick too! Jimenez and Aguero both scored for a combined total of 16 points.

Transfers: Ryan to Ederson. It’s rare to use to a FT on a keeper but with only one glaring issue this week and limited time to use transfers, I thought it should be worth it. With a spare City slot in the side and plenty of cash ITB I don’t think there’s a better option. (Note – these will be made last minute to ensure no injuries).

Ederson, Laporte and Doherty have home ties. City play Leicester who hammered Arsenal and Vardy loves a goal against a top 6 side but City have been strong defensively as of late. Doherty faces Fulham who have improved since their relegation was confirmed. TAA travels to Newcastle. A tough game against Rafa’s side but I expect it to be a low scoring affair.

Son faces a Bournemouth side who he braced against earlier on in the season. Mané and Salah travel up to Newcastle and I expect them to have a difficult day to break down The Magpies defence but still managing to get the job done. Jota faces a Fulham team who have kept 3 clean sheets in a row (I never thought I’d say that). However, I don’t see it being 4 in 4.

3 home games for the front 3. Aguero is up against Leicester, Jimenez our 3rd Wolves player is against Fulham and Wilson hosts Spurs. I fancy all 3 to score again this week as all 3 oppositions defences are there for the taking.

Captaincy: Aguerooooo. Gunning for the golden boot and with the better fixture out of City and Liverpool.
