Euro 2016 Preview – Czech Republic – Fantasy Football Tips

The Czech Republic reached the quarter-finals in Euro 2012, and won their group in qualification, so they cannot be treated as pushovers. This summer may well signal the end for some of their most experienced internationals, so they will want to end their national careers on as high a note as possible. Czech Republic will face Spain, Turkey and Croatia in Group C.

Defence

Petr Cech is arguably the best footballer in the squad, with over 100 caps for the Eastern Europeans. His reliability in goal will be key to the successes of the Czech Republic, as he demonstrated in the Premier League this season with Arsenal in the amount of saves that he made and points that he subsequently earned. Daniel Pudil has also had a great campaign, with one more club game to go as he looks to help Sheffield Wednesday achieve promotion into the same league as Cech.

Midfield

Another Gunner looking to impressive is Tomas Rosicky. He has played his final game for the North Londoners, and next month he will have played his final game for his country. He is certainly capable of causing a goal threat in this squad, but he may have his work cut out by better options available to pick from other countries in the Euro 2016 fantasy football. Sparta Prague midfielder Borek Dockal scored eight goals this season for his club, whilst Vladimir Darida got five for Hertha Berlin and helped them secure Europa League football.

Forwards

Although Tomas Necid scored eleven goals in the Turkish league for Bursaspor, it really is not worth investing your time and funds in a Czech Republic striker unfortunately.
