FPL Updates Gameweek 33 – Fantasy Premier League Tips

The first chip of the season has been used but we only saw a minor green arrow in what could have been so more. 89 points isn’t to be sniffed with an average 73 points for the week. An appearance in the 100 club would’ve been nice but it wasn’t to be.

Our captain playing once in a DGW was far from ideal along with only 5 of the 11 starting both games which was a massive surprise. BGW33 is the last week in the side for many as we’ll be wildcarding in GW34.

Kepa brought home 1 clean sheet in 2 for 8 points. Schlupp matched Kepa with a solid one clean sheet. Laporte was the sides top scorer with a whopping 18. 2 clean sheets an assist and a handful of bonus was mega for the side. Lindelof disappointingly only played one game for a single.

Pogba’s double blank and performances have made me heavily question whether he makes the post Wildcard squad. Sterling’s 6 pointer was a major let down as he blanked at Fulham and was rested against Cardiff. Milivojevic netted a penalty for an 11 pointer. Hazard left us worried after his cameo but his second game saw him add 14 points in a stellar performance.

Higuain’s DGW turned into a single with Giroud leaving him on the bench. Just a measly 2. Rashford’s first game was promising with a 7 pointer until he picked up a knock. Aguero rounds out the side with a goal and an assist. However, much like Rashford a knock forced him off before the 60 and the second appearance. Thinking about it, a 10 pointer was impressive in 57 minutes.

Transfers: Richarlison -> Hazard. It’s a one week punt with the wildcard imminent and with so much cash ITB, I can’t see anyone better than Hazard who faces a shoddy West Ham defence.

Guaita and AWB travel to Newcastle. Pereira faces relegated Huddersfield and unsurprisingly returned points while he was free hitted out. Robertson travels to Southampton which means all of the defence is on the road.

Salah and Mane start the gameweek off on Friday night against Southampton. I’m expecting the majority of points to come from the reds trio. Hazard comes in for his plum game against West Ham on Monday night. Brooks has been underwhelming so far but I’m hoping he can go out with a bang against Burnley.

King and Barnes go head to head with each other. A game full of goals wouldn’t be a bad outcome. After a blank in the last blank gameweek, Vardy faces a relegated Huddersfield. I’m expecting them to play with less pressure since they’re down but still expect them to be leaky at the back.

Captain: It was a tough choice this week. It was between the Liverpool midfielders and Hazard. The latter has the fixture and coming off the back of a great game midweek but the uncertainty over Sarri’s selections make him slightly less attractive due to the potential players around him. Mane has the form over Salah even with his blank last week. He’s had 3 double digits hauls in his last 5 compared to Mo’s 2 in 11 games. Friday night will be make or break for the side as Mane takes the armband.
