Gameweek 6 Sky Tips – Fantasy Football Tips

The Overhaul has come and gone and it’s time to look forward for the next few weeks. 2 weeks of planning will hopefully pay off for managers but there’s always going to be a couple of players you regret including or leaving out.

Goalkeepers

5 clean sheets were kept this week and barring Heaton all those that didn’t concede hit double figures. 13 keepers kept save bonus this week too which shows there’s some good value in this position. Ederson was the notable outlier with a 0 pointer against Norwich.

Defenders

It was a good week for Spurs defenders as they kept their first clean sheet of the season against Palace. Aurier assisted twice and Alderweirld hit passing bonus for the 4th time and both scored a baker’s dozen. Robertson’s consistency continues even without a clean sheet as he hit passing bonus and assisted for his first attacking return of the campaign. The cheapest defender in the game Guilbert kept his second clean sheet this season.

Tomori £6.4m started for the second week in a row at a bargain price and scored a screamer from outside of the box against Wolves. Defensively Chelsea don’t look strong at the back but if he’s nailed he could be great value if Lampard sorts out the defence. The Liverpool and Man City backline all hit passing bonus this week. Otamendi and TAA also managed to hit the target twice this week for SoT bonus and Matip made tackle bonus. Stones picked up an injury which may allow the likes of Cancelo, Fernandinho or even Garcia (who’s not in the game yet) to get a starting spot. Pereira hit tackles bonus for the 4th time this season along with Pieters who reached this for the 3rd time.

Midfielders

Rodri was the standout midfielder this week as he was involved in a little bit of everything. A goal, tackle, passing and SoT bonus earned him 14 points against Norwich. Southampton’s Djenepo £7.1m started his second game of this season and finished an excellent solo goal against Sheffield United in a MOTM performance. He looks very good value if he can start consistently and an option for captaincy on single game days. Deulofeu had a very good game under his ‘new’ manager and look very threatening. He was MOTM, assisted and hit SoT bonus. Norwich midfield duo of Buendia £7.6m and Cantwell £5.8m continue to tick over. The latter currently seems to be the best enabler in the midfield.

Mountinho hit tackle bonus for the 4th time and Ndidi hit it for the 3rd time in 4 starts. Villa’s midfield workhorse McGinn earned tackle and shot bonus on Monday night for a handy 6 pointer. A midweek injury to Mount is a worry for some managers but reports reveal it isn’t a long term injury. There’s plenty of options in that £7.3m price range and some good value options at a lower price if he is out for a few weeks but holding him a week or two isn’t a terrible idea.

Forwards

Abraham is now the 3rd highest scoring player in the game and he was involved in everything against Wolves. He bagged 20 points for a hat-trick, SoT bonus, MOTM, a yellow card and an OG! He’s got Liverpool next then a great spell of fixtures. Son has just averaged under 10 points since he’s returned from suspension and an 18 pointer against Palace makes you wonder if he’s better value than Kane. Mane hit his second 17 pointer of the season in a MOTM performance and is now ahead of Salah in points in 1 less game.

Wilson braced and is back to his usual goal scoring self. Aubameyang braced against Watford on Sunday and looks a prime captain option for the coming weeks. The cheap beast himself, Pukki continues his unbelievable run. A brace against Man City and a great fixtures to come. Aguero just got the one against Norwich and should’ve had more as he spurned a number of chances including a perfect Sterling cross. The striker position is filled with great options!

Captain Conundrums

Friday night is a tricky fixture. With the overhaul just passing it’s hard to make a trasnfer that early especially if you didn’t plan for it, so I wouldn’t be against avoiding it. The likes of both Wilsons for The Cherries are good options but Harry does seem to be subbed early. Djenepo £7.1m could be an option for Mount if he’s out for a bit. I definitely wouldn’t be pulling my team apart for it as it takes 2 transfers to bring them in and out.

Man City boys are the obvious choice for Saturday. The Man City lineup in Europe may play a role in your decision as we don’t see the team sheet on Saturday. Anyone who doesn’t play midweek should be safe but you never know with Pep. KDB seems the safest after a rest last week. Pukki also is captain material on Saturday as can’t stop scoring.

Sunday Liverpool and Arsenal assets look the standout option. Aubameyang he’s got the 9 spot to himself looks a great bet against Villa. Salah and Mane have been consistent so far and should exploit Chelsea’s leaky defence.
