Bruno Jordao – Fantasy Football Potential

Wolves have announced the signing of Bruno Jordao from Braga B on a long term deal. Jordao has been signed alongside teammate Neto for a combined fee believed to be around £18 million.

Here’ what Wolves’ sporting director has had to say about the signings:

“They’re two very talented individuals in positions we’re keen to add to. But with both Pedro and Bruno it’s more about their potential for the future. We see signing young talent as a way forward; for example, Morgan Gibbs-White from the Academy, several other young players from the Academy who have been in the first-team recently, and Ruben Vinagre, who we signed at a very young age. We think these two guys are right up there at that level and have both got high potential to be successful here at Wolves.”

Player History

At the age of 12, Jordao started his career at U.D. Leiria and spent 6 years at the club, where he made 23 appearances, scoring 4 goals. These impressive appearances caught the eye of Braga, who signed him in 2016.

At Braga, Jordao linked up with fellow Wolves signing, Neto, and Jordao went on to make his debut for the Braga B team in August 2016. Across the 2016/17 season, Jordao made 19 league appearances for Braga B, scoring twice and assisting another in 1,168 minutes of football.

In August 2017, both Jordao and Neto joined Lazio on loan, however Jordao made just 3 appearances, playing 87 minutes of football.

Internationally, Jordao has featured for Portugal at a variety of youth levels from under-18’s through to under-21’s.

Fantasy Football Potential

Bruno Jordao will be linking up with the Wolves under-23’s this season, so it will be unlikely that we will see the youngster in the Premier League this season. That said, Wolves are looking to expand on their squad due to the pressures of what will hopefully be a long Europa League campaign and therefore we could see more rotation this season with the under-23’s getting more of a look in.
