Flavio Cristovao – Fantasy Football Potential

Woles have announced the signing of Flavio Cristovao on a free signing after the 22 year old was on trial with the club after a successful trial with the under-23’s.

Here’s what under-23’s coach Rob Edwards has had to say about the signing:

“He’s got good experience for a 22-year-old, and we expect him to add a bit of steel to the group. Although he’s more of a defensive player, he’s someone who can handle the ball well, while his versatility is also something that has impressed us. He’s been playing at the middle of defence, but he can play anywhere across the back three, as well as being that holding player in centre midfield.”

Player History

Flavio started his career at Casa Pia, but has mainly been a product of the Desportivo Aves’ youth academy, with him making senior appearances in the Premeira Liga last season, although he did have a stint at SC Mirandela prior to his time are Desportivo Aves.

Fantasy Football Potential

Under-23’s coach Rob Edwards will welcome Flavio into the youth team this season, with the potential for the youngster to push his way into the senior side. The under-23’s will look to push on in the top flight of development football after their promotion last season.
